  3. Arrive at the Ayleid Reliquary where your inventory is located.
  4. Check on your comrades to see that everything is fine.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

HushEdit

Amarius will tell you that they have found a secret passage leading to the rest of the ruin. Alenion will inform you about a tablet that he has found in the corridor, which translates as Speech becomes Silence. The tablet is on the left wall of the passage, just before a gate. Once you activate it, an Ayleid Curse, which casts a permanent Silence spell on you, is added to your menu.

You FirstEdit

You will eventually find a raging fire in the middle of the corridor, blocking your way. The Eulius brothers will prove useless here, since they weren't expecting a fire. Backtrack to the mine and ask either Marks or Rogkuroth gro-Budok (depending on which side of the main quest you are taking) for help. They will supply you with a potion of immunity to fire.

Stirk NakedEdit

Further ahead, you will find the second tablet, again on the left side of the corridor. Alenion will inform you that it translates as Wealth becomes Poverty. After activating it, your whole inventory will be removed, and you will find yourself naked.

A Lockpicking AdventurerEdit

Continuing forward, you will arrive at a series of three gates, all of them locked. Since you won't have any more lockpicks and can't cast an Open spell, you'll have to rely on your friends. More particularly, Amarius boasts: "What kind of an adventurer would I be if I couldn't get past a few locks." Even though he brags about his lockpicking talent, he will actually open the gates using a key!

Like a MoleEdit

The third tablet can be found on the right wall of the next corridor. Alenion tells you that it translate as Light become Darkness; and indeed you will be blinded upon activating it. Underground and blind aren't a very good combination and Alenion promises to guide you through the next parts of the ruin. If you have a lesser power that grants a Night Eye effect, then you will be able to see, despite being blinded.

Where's My Compass?Edit

Alenion will then proceed to navigate you through a large chamber, by following his suggestions and by using the walls for orientation you should be able to reach the exit unharmed. If you steer too close to a trap, Alenion will dutifully inform you. After going through two gates, get close to the wall and head northwest. Once you reach a wall, turn around the corner and head southwest, following the wall. Turn around a second corner and follow the wall due southeast, but only halfway this time. Turn left and then head northeast until you arrive in the middle of the room. Then turn right and walk due southeast until you should be able to see the next tablet glowing in the darkness.

Mr. LonelyEdit

The next tablet is located on the left side of the corridor and supposedly reads: Friends become Helpless. Just after you activate it, you will hear a loud crash: you're alone. The way back from where you came is blocked and your only possibility is to go forwards. Use the tablet, the walls and your mini-map to determine your position and continue following the corridor, opening a gate as you go. You will eventually get to a Swinging Blade trap; there are only three blades and if you listen to the sounds you should be able to pass through them unharmed. At the end of the corridor you will find an Ayleid Reliquary with your entire inventory and an Ayleid Blessing will nullify all other effects.

Safe and SoundEdit

Backtrack through the whole ruin, which should be easier now that you can see again, and return to the mine to find that all of your companions are fine.

BugsEdit

  • It is possible for Amarius to remain stuck with you when in actual fact you should be alone. This has no serious consequences other than the fact that he will keep on following you and acting as if you were trespassing.
  • Talking to Alenion while blind may result in the "I HAVE NO GREETING" bug.

Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  •   It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage Tr07q006UDPuzzles stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
