Merihayan is a ruin in the Lan Orethan region occupied by the vampire, Berelas.
The former den of a large vampire clan, Merihayan was purged by the Indoril, in service to Almalexia, an unknown number of years ago. Only one of their number, Berelas, remains. Unless the player is a vampire themselves (in which case, they can expect a small request), Berelas will force them into combat.
The stronghold ruin is otherwise occupied by a small number of skeletons, including Skeleton Champions. The Axe skill book, The Axe Man, is under the chest of drawers in Berelas's chamber.
To reach this place, journey directly east from Dreynim until you reach the hills.
