Marja Iannus is an Imperial commoner and wife of Felani Iannus. She is in Morrowind with Felani, and is there to support her during the funeral of her father, in The Last Will and Testament of Ulmon Vathri.
Felani was estranged from her father, Ulmon Vathri, yet he had lately reached out to them upon his deathbed via the form of a letter. Felani's reply indicates that Marja was a driving force in Felani reaching back. Marja herself says that she was keen to get in touch with Ulmon.
"I would still have liked to meet him. My wife speaks well of her youth, and it was only after she met me that her father turned bitter. I am sure he had a lot of love for her, despite them growing apart. Perhaps we could have reconciled."
However, Ulmon Vathri perishes before any such meeting can occur. In the event however that his final, unsent letter is delivered to Felani, Marja will express optimism about the chances of an old wound, finally healing enough to make a prolonged stay in Morrowind more bearable:
"I think his final letter finally gave Felani some closure. We might stay here in Morrowind for a while now. I look forward to learning about the place my wife grew up."
