The Grazelands are the pastoral heartland of VardenfallVvardenfell. On the eastern coast of the mainland, these grasslands extend from the ancient stronghold of Falensarano north to the coast above Tel Vos. To the east, the Grazelands stretches to the coast, and the islands of the Azura's regionCoast. To the west, it is bounded by the forbidding steepness of the mountains of the Ashlands.

The ecology of the Grazelands is dominated by wickwheat, and this is one of the few areas this grows. There are few trees, and stoneflowers are the most frequently seen flowering plant. It is home to guar and alit, the large plain-rats and the ubiquitous cliff- racer. It is also an area where, because of it's low population, it is not uncommon to see Daedra, even Golden Saints, going about their business.

The population of the Grazelands is still essentially nomadic Ashlanders, and aside from the excentric tower of Tel Vos, the home of Telvanni lord Master Aryon, and the nearby town of Vos, these picturesque hunters and herders in their traditional garb are the main people one will meet. Stable Ashlander communities include the Ahemmusa Camp in the north, and the Zainab Camp to the south. A note on Tel Vos. It is extremely unusual for a Telvanni tower, combining both the traditional biomanipulation of the mushroom tower with a substantial Imperial type stone construction. It is well worth a look, and is probably attributable to the relatively young age of the Lord in residence, who is only a little over two hundred years old.

Politically, the Grazelands is still Ashlander| territory, though Tel Vos and the proximity to the Telvanni homeland means that this House is the most likely to make further inroads in the region.

There are relatively few ruins in this region. The only significant Dwemer site is fabled Nchuleft, and the only Daedric ruin is Kushtashpi in the far north. Along with the stronghold of Falensarano in the south, there is another stronghold, Indoranyon, in the central east, near the coast. This may be worth a look, though the last researchers for this guide mentioned rumours of oddities about it, shortly before their disappearance.
