No Reward?Edit

I'm rather sure I did not receive any reward for completing this quest (PC v 1.5). The quest updates as completed when the enemy count reaches 0%. In my case, I reported to General Tillus next, who ordered me to Winterhold Imperial Camp. Rikke was at the camp, but gave me no reward. She only assigned the next "Take the fort" quest. --JRTalk E-mail 06:14, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

I haven't done that quest, but i'll go ahead and do it so i can see what's going on with it. Ziguildmaster 03:34, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
You get the reward, some gold, from Legate Rikke she is already in this Winterhold Imperial Camp and you get the money only if you visit her before speaking to Tullius. She also can give you the next quest without talking to Tullius first, his quest stays open but I don't know if this makes more problems. Unfortunately, the quest marker leads you directly to General Tullius after clearing Greenwall. I don't know exactly but you will be promoted to a Tribune right after killing the last soldier in Greenwall or after the next loading screen, because I haven't spoken to Rikke nor to Tullius but some imperials called me Tribune already.
In my eyes it should be like this; After taking over Greenwall the player must report to Rikke in the Rift Imperial Camp and then she sends you to Tullius who orders you to the next camp after he promoted you. I did not reported this as a bug.(tested with PC and version 1.9.32.0.8 in German language)Quozar (talk) 09:11, 15 August 2013 (GMT)
I've had some soldiers calling me Tribune halfway through the Compelling Tribute quest so the dialogue and/or quest controlling the promotion may have some mistakes in the checks. Rikke regretably leaves for the Winterhold camp before you can return to her after conquering Greenwall but will give the leveled gold reward if you speak to her before Tullius all the same.Vainamoinen -Talk -Stuff 02:13, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

No Troops at Meeting PointEdit

—I ran into a problem with this quest. When I went to the spot where I was supposed to meet our troops noone was there. There also was no stormcloaks. — Unsigned comment by Esasabita (talkcontribs) at 15:45 on 18 February 2013

Hi. You received the orders to meet the soldiers and an objective marker appeared, along with an objective in your journal? Can you describe in more detail what happened next? Could something strange have happened, like mixing up this quest with another "take the fort" quest? Did you need to fight at Fort Greenwall? Sometimes you don't. Also, was anyone at the fort? Bandits? Finally, have you searched for this and made an inquiry on Bethesda's Official Support Forums? We will be curious to know if you find anything or have more details. I can't find evidence of other reports of this problem in some of the usual places. --JR (talk) 15:49, 19 February 2013 (GMT)
This is happening for me as well :/ 184.57.104.54 02:11, 10 April 2013 (GMT)
This happened to me as well the marker for the meeting place was present, but no troops either Imperial or stormcloak were present at the base. I recently fought a dragon nearby For Greenwall and the stormcloaks were there during the fight, so I'm not sure where they went. The only thing in the fort is a single horse. — Unsigned comment by 192.197.50.196 (talk) at 18:12 on 30 January 2015
I've just found a similar issue at Fort Dunstad, but that was caused by Dawnstar changing hands during season unending. Could this be the cause? Biffa (talk) 13:08, 31 January 2015 (GMT)

Confirming the lack of soldiersEdit

I just got to this part and I can confirm that there is a bug causing there to be no soldiers at Fort Greenwall on either side. It should be noted that shortly after I fast traveled to Shor's Stone a dragon attacked, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the glitch.

Fast traveling, waiting, having followers wait; none of these fixed the glitch, however attempting to kill Jarl Laila Law-Giver, knocking her into bleedout, did set the quest to the completed stage.Theomniadept (talk) 02:35, 16 September 2013 (GMT)
