There is no LucasEdit

Sorry, the character called "lucas" is actually Lucan, I just got the name mixed up when I wrote the page, also thaks to Nephele and Legoless for making the page look a lot better! RIM 17:10, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking as much. Thanks for clearing it up. --Legoless 17:13, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

FaendalEdit

I'n the media playthrough where M'aiq was discovered (two brave bosmers and one lying khajiit), quite a bit of detail about Faendal was released and i was wondering if we should start a page for him, i'd do it myself but don't know how to do the tables that are on every character page Andil the mage 21:52, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Yeah you can start a page for him if you want, as for the tables, if you are not sure how to make them you can simply copy and paste them from other npc pages:)RIM 22:22, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Arvel the Swift in Riverwood?Edit

I do not think Arvel the Swift is found in Riverwood at any time during the game, even if the quest story implies him to be the one who stole the Golden Claw there once? --MortenOSlash 12:49, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

This is correct. Arvel the Swift's backstory suggests that he was in Riverwood, but by the time you leave Helgen he's trapped in the frostbite spider's webbing where he remains until you free him and he goes and gets himself killed by draugr. Or by you. --Morrolan (talk) 15:06, 13 April 2013 (GMT)
I am really not sure any more why I posted that question, because nothing in the page versions around that time implied that anyone of the contributors to the page so far seemed to have thought that Arvel should have been in the village at the time. Maybe there was something I thought myself at that time? —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:51, 13 April 2013 (GMT)
That was like a week after the game was released. There were all sorts of funny questions asked then that now would be considered very dumb. It's probably just one of those. --Morrolan (talk) 18:52, 15 April 2013 (GMT)

Thugs?Edit

When I arrived in Riverwood, a group of thugs was waiting for me. They were the equivalent of Bandit Chief. Anyone else know about these? — Unsigned comment by 98.151.154.110 (talk) at 04:19 on 19 November 2011

Its possible that you have stolen something from someone and this someone in return sent some hired thugs after you. This thugs will find you anywere and they are not related to Riverwood. --Lex 17:39, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Tag BugEdit

The bug "Xbox: Playing "Tag" with Dorthe and Frodnar and fast traveling while tag is not complete results in both children appearing at your location after game has ended. Stump the dog may also be nearby." is currently on the page. However, this bug is specifically covered on the quest page, Tag, you're it!. Should the bug on this page be removed? --Velyanthe 20:38, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Riverwood is in the middle of nowhereEdit

I don't know if this is notable, but Riverwood is really far from other map markers. If you stand exactly where Riverwood's marker is, you can only see Embershard Mine, and if you go towards the north gate, Embershard will disappear and you'll only see Riverwood's marker.--201.1.24.143 20:18, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Good observation but lots of places are like that. RIM 21:22, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

take a new screenshot of riverwood for it's article pleaseEdit

i think the moon is nice and it's well framed and everything, but surely Riverwood is best shown off during the day don't you think? — Unsigned comment by 108.197.122.144 (talk) at 10:37 on 18 February 2012

Whiterun GuardsEdit

Don't know if this only happens to me, but, i have a high bounty and Whiterun Guards IN WHITERUN always try to arrest me. But for no apparent reason, the Whiterun Guards on Riverwood don't. In fact, i try to speak with them and they carry on with their normal dialogue as if i had no bounty. No mods, and playing on PC. — Unsigned comment by 89.154.209.233 (talk) on 17 March 2012

It also happens to me. I noted that during the quest 'Before the Storm', Proventus Avenicci says that sending guards to Riverwood will anger the Falkreath Jarl. Maybe the Whiterun guards on Riverwood only receive orders of 'protecting the city from dragons' but not to watching for crime, to prevent anger the Jarl of Falkreath? Araglad 11:21, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
They must have a seperate id from normal whiterun guards as they are not replaced if the stormcloaks take whiterun. The Silencer has spokenTalk 18:36, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
That suggests that they're in the small category of NPCs dressed like guards that don't have guard AI. --Morrolan (talk) 15:07, 13 April 2013 (GMT)

The Whiterun Guards do not respawn?Edit

I was getting regular dragon attacks in Riverwood. They were not causing many problems. In fact, I sometimes went there counting on a dragon to fight with help from the guards, and it didn't happen again at least until the last dragon's bones cleared or the guards re-spawned. However, with the last dragon attack, all the guards were killed and they never re-spawned. No dragons have come back either. Is there a console command to get the guards to re-spawn, and might this be a bug (if all three guards get killed, e.g. by a dragon, they fail to re-spawn)? Dragon AttacksEdit

Hey so I know it says the dragon attack issue was fixed with 1.2 but I don't believe that was the case as up until 1.6 I was still experiencing this issue on the 360. I've just noticed since 1.6, DG and HF that the attacks are almost nonexistent. Can anyone confirm that this was indeed NOT fixed by 1.2 on the 360? Lord Eydvar Talk | Contribs 23:32, 9 September 2012 (EDT)

I'm running the latest patch (1.7) on 360 and have just recently started having this problem. It doesn't matter if I fast travel or walk, as soon as I enter the cell, a dragon pops on Riverwood. I'm wondering if this problem is not a bug so much as a combination of your level and where you are in the main quest, as I have heard dragon attacks ramp up in frequency as you progress. I'm currently level 48 and on Alduin's Bane. I'm hoping that finishing the main questline will fix this. There is nothing I can see in any patch notes to support this being fixed. My guess is people stopped having the problem because of where they were in the main quest (there's one part where no random dragons spawn) and incorrectly attributed the change to a patch.
