Skyrim talk:Moira
Attacked by ThugsEdit
A few hours into my game I got attacked by some thugs who carried a contract signed by Moira. It said I had stolen from her, but didn't say what i took. Any ideas what happened? — Unsigned comment by 24.20.127.236 (talk) at 20:48 on 28 November 2011
- Same here. This was a brand new character, i've never met moira or started her associated quest. The only things i've ever stolen were some items from Anise's cabin (who, interestingly enough, is a witch - maybe the items actually belong to moira?). --Chiliflamingo 21:56, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

- This happened to me as well. Coincidentally I also have only really stolen items from Anises cabin. Not sure if skyrim construction set is out yet, but would be Interesting to see who really owns the items in the cabin — Unsigned comment by 92.232.72.114 (talk) at 19:29 on 30 November 2011

- Agreed, I'd bet money that those items are marked as owned by Moira. --Chiliflamingo 21:23, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

- I came to the same comclusion, that the ingredients at Anise's shack were owned by Moira. I was attacked by the same thugs when I made a second character only a few days after looting her hut. — Unsigned comment by 24.20.127.236 (talk) at 23:24 on 11 December 2011

- Same thing happened to me; is it possible that Moira is the sister that Anise mentions in her letter, located downstairs? 67.67.217.35 06:20, 12 December 2011 (UTC)MsDalfo

- Yeah, this one has it, too. I'll bet you damn near anything Anise is Moira's sister. — Unsigned comment by DaedalusMachina (talk • contribs) at 05:39 on 16 December 2011

(←) I have also had this happen, but I've also been attacked by thugs who were sent by Anise. I don't believe any of the items in Anise's cabin belong to Moira, but it may be possible something in there is. Also, the contract for killing a family member is different from the contract for stealing. 65.65.62.48 05:55, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- I find these occurrences to be particularly strange. On one of my characters, I played them as a mad thief. So the very first time I met the stereotypical group of thugs (three guys walk toward you till one of them can activate a conversation in order to attack) was in Riverwood. Once I killed them and looted the one's corpse, the name on the note of person who told them to attack me always seemed like a randomly generated name, or possibly of a character I had never met before in game. The fact that people have specifically and consistently have said that Moira is on these notes would suggest this event isn't as random as the typically generated thugs I'm use to meeting after stealing from Riverwood. So more than likely I would say it's intentional. And since she is a witch it wouldn't be unheard of if Anise is somehow related to Moira. --69.205.180.81 04:41, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

- Moira wil send out a contract if you steal from or kill her sister Anise. Then those three thugs show up and try to kill you. Anise is located in a hut due south of Windhelm and the hut is surrounded by a fence with heads on spikes sorta deal. — Unsigned comment by 67.225.119.232 (talk) at 09:40 on 3 January 2012

- Same here. Moira. I wanted to check if it was because of the Argonian Ale I stole, but no, some witch I never met. Like the guy up there said, probably owned by her, as I also hit up Anise's place.NickTyrong 03:51, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

- I had the same thing happen on my second character as well. I had stolen from Anise, too, as well as killing her. --Morgion 19:32, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

- Moira and anise are sisters so if you killed or stole from anise that's why she put out the contract. — Unsigned comment by 71.220.30.130 (talk) at 02:12 on 25 June 2012

- i'm soft confirming that anise is attached to moira, i too found the contract on some thugs. no proof but this is a save thats minutes old, so i guess confirmed. iirc, anise says her sister is the lady in riverwood who tells sven about dragons, acording to the letter telling her to come join her to make a coven; new thought, perhaps they are triplets?. — Unsigned comment by 99.92.211.167 (talk) at 03:34 on 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Moira and Anise in CSEdit
Is there anything in the CS that can actually confirm or deny the link between these two NPC's?--FubarFrank (talk) 18:57, 28 September 2012 (GMT)
- Well, according to the CSlist. Anise is in the "Hagraven Faction". So that could possibly explain why Moira will send thugs afer you. But no, there is no real proof that they are related.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 19:44, 28 September 2012 (GMT)

- I had stumbled onto this page and remember asking myself the same question some time ago. After reading throught the comments here I realized that no one had actually checked the CS or posted the findings at least. Thanks for checking guys.--FubarFrank (talk) 20:04, 28 September 2012 (GMT)

EditEdit
It's already been confirmed that killing Anise (and possibly stealing from her) will cause Moira to put a contract on your head. I'll add something about that to their respective pages.64.135.48.170 13:12, 8 May 2013 (GMT)
- Please don't. That is generic NPC behavior and we don't document it on individual pages. Jeancey (talk) 16:56, 8 May 2013 (GMT)
- Yes, but how can you explain the fact that players who have never met nor heard of Moira have gotten thugs sent to them with a contract signed by the hagraven after killing Anise? Doesn't that constitute a connection between the two? One would only get a letter saying "make him/her for pay killing my dear blahblahblah" if the two are family/related in some way.99.108.100.228 22:31, 8 May 2013 (GMT)
- If you read the other two sections above on the same subject, they are both in the Hagraven Faction. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:45, 8 May 2013 (GMT)
