Stacking with armorEdit

It stacks with armor only if you have armor equipped prior to the casting. Changing any of your equipment (including equipping weapons) will take your armor down to 1, as will saving and loading your game. Rayzorium (talk) 21:16, 22 February 2013 (GMT)

Mage ArmorEdit

Anyone know how it works with mage armor/alteration spells, either cast before or after?

It appears to be incompatible with the various "Flesh" spells. You can cast two of them together, but only the one with the highest Armor rating shows up in the active effects while they're both going. Since Dragonhide has no Armor rating, the game favors any of the Flesh spells over it, including Oakflesh.
So for instance, if you cast Dragonhide, it shows up in the active effects as you'd expect. If you then cast Ebonyflesh, that shows up in the active effects, but Dragonhide disappears. If you cast Dragonhide while Ebonyflesh has 10 seconds left, Dragonhide will show up in the active effects as soon as Ebonyflesh drops off, with only 20 seconds duration remaining (35 seconds with Stability). — Medouneu (talk) 03:15, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Damage Formula/Math QuestionEdit

If, without removing or adding any equipment, you have reached the armor cap and cast Dragonhide, one would suppose that the two 80% values would stack together in terms of physical damage reduction ([80 + 0.8(20)] = 96% reduction). Could this be accurate? — Unsigned comment by ‎ CStone (talkcontribs) at 01:27 on 26 February 2018
