Alesan gives me free ingredientsEdit

this is the only kid I've adopted, in two separate playthroughs, who has ever told me that I can have whatever is in his chest. It's mostly ingredients, but he will also put daggers that are worse than what I currently gave him. I'm sure other kids do this too, but what are the prerequisites? — Unsigned comment by Romandoug (talkcontribs) at 06:59 on 20 December 2012‎

I believe they all say that, if they're the first child adopted. When you adopt the second child, they usually share a chest with the first child, and therefore have no need to say this dialogue to you. VycDarkshadow (talk) 22:41, 22 December 2012 (GMT)

Alesan entering and exiting the cellar repeatedlyEdit

Alesan sometimes gets stuck in a loop, entering and exiting the cellar repeatedly. It looks a lot like when Lydia sits down, then gets up, then sits down again in your bedroom in Breezehome. Sometimes, i've been able to speak to him and give him a command, and he'll stop for a while. Other times, he'll continue to pop in and out. Anyone else notice this with him, or any other child? I made a note of it on Alesan's page, just in case. VycDarkshadow (talk) 22:47, 22 December 2012 (GMT)

Alesan Had Same Inventory Bug as SofieEdit

On this playthrough, I adopted Alesan for the first time. When he showed up at Windstad Manor I tried to give him a wooden sword, and got the same error message I did when I tried to give Sofie (the flower girl from Windhelm) something the first time. For Sofie, this issue is documented on her Wiki page, and is caused by her having over 300 flower baskets in her inventory. So I checked Alesan's inventory, and found that he was carrying 1,903 Baskets (BaseID 000ABD30).

If you run into this problem in your game and you're on PC, open the console, click on Alesan, and enter the command drop 000ABD30 2000. He'll drop the baskets and then you can give him gifts as normal.

I adopted Alesan as my second child, same issues. One note I wanted to add that may help others. First, make sure you click on Alesan and not yourself (obvious), but also, when I checked Alesan's inventory he had a different amount of baskets so I recommend checking his inventory first before removing the baskets, but 2,000 is a safe number I think. To check, open console, click on Alesan and type showInventory. Look for baskets at the bottom of the list.24.21.15.226 01:50, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
