Tilisu Severin

Tilisu Severin is a Dunmer living in Raven Rock. She is known in town as the wife of Vendil and mother of Mirri.

Tilisu wears some fine clothes along with matching boots. She carries a leveled dagger up to daedric quality, along with the key to the manor and a selection of upper-class items and gold.

She sleeps from midnight to 6am, after which she starts wandering around the house. At 11am she heads outside to go and browse the market stands for 5 hours. When her daily browsing is done she will head back to the manor, where she will idle around until she goes back to bed at midnight.

She seems friendly when first interacted with, telling you; "My husband Vendil feared visitors would shun Raven Rock. I'm glad to see he was mistaken.", "Always nice to speak to someone from the mainland." and "I hope you enjoy your stay in Raven Rock." Lastly, she will say , "May your path be free from danger." If you have reopened the mines, she'll be very grateful, "You've brought so much hope to our people, we are forever in your debt." When asked if she wants to taste Geldis' sujamma, she'll accept, but will not sound very convinced, "Sure, got nothing better to do." Should a beggar approach her at the market, she will only say, "Ask my husband. I'm busy." During Dragonborn, you may ask if she knows who Miraak is, to which she'll say, "Miraak... I'm sure I've heard that name before. Haven't I? Was it in a dream?" When asked what that means, she'll stay confused, and say, "I just can't be sure. I... I don't think I like talking about this."

When in Severin Manor, Tilisu will talk with the rest of her "family", revealing that their family is just a front for an unspecified job and that Vendil and Mirri are actually lovers:

Tilisu: "What's wrong with you? Do you want to ruin everything?"
Vendil: "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm here to do a job, and that's it."
Tilisu: "I've seen the way you look at her. Do you take me for a fool?"
Vendil: "Look, "dearest", what I do on my own time is my business. You stick to your business and we'll both be fine."

Mirri: "This town bores me. How much longer must we stay in this wretched place?"
Tilisu: "If everything goes well, we won't have to stay here much longer. For now, we wait."
Mirri: "What am I supposed to do until then?"
Tilisu: "I don't know, look for someone else to hop into bed with perhaps!"

Meanwhile, Vendil and Mirri will talk about Tilisu and how their relationship brings their plan in danger:

Vendil: "I'm worried. I think she knows."
Mirri: "She's jealous. Can't say that I blame her."
Vendil: "Have you taken leave of your senses? We could be exposed... ruined. Ten years of planning all for nothing!"
Mirri: "It's your choice, "father". Anytime you want to end it, you just give the word."

Served ColdEdit

When March of the Dead and The Final Descent are completed, you will be given a special task by Second Councilor Arano concerning an assassination plot. You will be sent to Ulen Ancestral Tomb where you must uncover the identity of an unknown visitor. You will eventually encounter Tilisu, in silent prayer near the central grave. If you sneak up close enough to her, the quest log will update and tell you to report back to Arano. Should you approach her openly, however, she will turn around and react surprised, "Oh, excuse me! I didn't realize there was anyone else here." Ask her what she is doing there and she will answer, "I presume the same thing you're doing... leaving an offering for the departed. Forgive my surprise, it's just that I wouldn't expect that sort of behavior from someone who isn't Dunmer." When you confront her with the fact that she is not a member of the Ulen family, she will only tell you, "Since there aren't any Ulens left on this island, I've taken it upon myself to leave the traditional offering in their stead." You can choose between three options as part of your investigation:

Who puts ash yams in the tomb?

You're lying. You're from House Hlaalu!
"What kind of nonsense is that!? I'm simply honoring a fellow departed Dunmer, and you hurl baseless accusations at me?"

Tell me why you're really here.
"What do you mean? I thought I was clear. I'm simply honoring a fellow departed Dunmer."

I'll let you get to it then.
"Oh, no bother. We all have a right to be here."

After this exchange she will brush you off by saying, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to meditate a bit." If you try and talk to her after this, she will only say, "Please, I don't wish to be disturbed while I'm meditating" While Tilisu returns to her meditation, locate Adril and tell him that she may be the culprit: "Tilisu? Are you sure?" He will then ask you for evidence: "If Tilisu's involved in any sort of plot to harm Councilor Morvayn, I'm going to need hard evidence to prove it." He will, however, refuse to search Severin Manor himself and will then ask you to do it: "If you're wrong about Tilisu, things would quickly go downhill around here and the real culprits might slip away. I can't afford for that to happen." He will then hand you the key to Severin Manor and give you free hands to find evidence by any means necessary, "If you have the evidence and it places your life in peril, I would expect you to do whatever you must to keep yourself alive. Here, this key should open the front door of the manor in case they've locked it. Good luck."

Careful Mirri...

You're then sent search for incriminating evidence inside of Severin Manor, however, you're not alone. Tilisu and Mirri are both located within and should you get detected by Tilisu, she will call out to her companion, "Careful Mirri... someone's in here with us!", she might also call out to you, "Come on, I know you're in here." Should Mirri be the one to detect you, she won't hesitate to call out to Tilisu either, "Watch it Tilisu, I think we might have a visitor!" Should you get into a fight with Tilisu here, she will angrily yell, "I won't allow you to ruin years of planning!"

Once you have collected your evidence, and returned it to Second Councilor Arano, he will send you to the final location, namely Ashfallow Citadel. Tilisu will only appear here if she was spared earlier while searching through the manor. Together with her "husband", she will attempt to make a last stand in the final room of the citadel. This time Tilisu is clad in a full set of Morag Tong armor. While attacking you, she will have some taunts that she shares with Vendil and Mirri, "For House Hlaalu!" and "Morvayn will pay for this!" She also has some unique taunts, "Years of planning, ruined!", "I'll spill your blood, fetcher!", "Die, Redoran lackey!"

When you deliver the killing blow, she will fall to the ground with her last words being, "House Hlaalu will... have its revenge..."

  • Tilisu is a member of the bandit class, which determines the level of her skills.

  • If Tilisu is slain in Severin Manor, her corpse may remain after the quest is complete.
