The Spider Control Rod is a dwarven staff, found in the Runoff Caverns' Summer's Chords section, is used to indicate to the Repair Spider where it is supposed to go (similar to placing a rune spell) during the quest Forgotten Seasons. As a quest item, the rod has infinite charges. After the quest stage to disable the Conduit of Summer is completed, the staff will be replaced by one of an identical name, which calms Dwarven Spiders.
