Sharamph by her ingredients

Sharamph, an Orc destruction mage, is wise woman of Mor Khazgur, the Orc stronghold west of Solitude. She is the mother of Chief Larak and Bagrak. She sells a variety of apothecary items, such as ingredients and potions.

She sleeps in the longhouse every night between midnight and 8am then immediately heads outside and opens her little apothecary shop, at times using her alchemy lab. At 8pm she heads back inside the longhouse and spends four hours reading before bedtime.

She wears black mage robes, a shrouded hood, and a pair of boots. She carries a leveled dagger (up to Orcish quality at level 6), the key to the longhouse and a selection of middle-class items and gold.

DialogueEdit

When you approach her she can say

"I am wise woman to this stronghold."
"Our chief is strong. That is all that matters."
"I have poisons for your weapons, and cures for your ills."
"Poisons can kill your enemies faster than any blade."
"Do not allow Ataxia to fester. A smart warrior keeps a potion to cure diseases at all times."

If you approach her outside her opening times she will reject you with:

"If you wish to trade, see me during daylight."

She will also tell you about Orc tradition and the strong bonds with Malacath:

Tell me more about your people.
"We have lived in Skyrim since before the Nords came. Our way is simple, all work to make the tribe strong. Only the bravest are allowed to lead, and to marry. A great chief is able to attract many wives and raise bold children. Wise women like myself are mothers of chieftains. We guide the tribe and adviceĀ [sic] our kin on what is most pleasing to Malacath."
Who is Malacath?
"He is our creator and master. The Daedric Lord of the Sworn Oath and the Bloody Curse. Malacath teaches us to honor all words with action. To demand blood from your enemies and strength from your allies. He watches over all Orcs as his children. A truth those who leave the stronghold are quick to forget."

ConversationsEdit

Sharamph will occasionally engage in a very brief conversation with her son:

Sharamph: "Malacath is pleased with your strength, Larak."
Chief Larak: "I am honored."

NotesEdit

  • In the game's DialogueViews files, there is dialogue for a favor quest known internally as Favor016Quest. In the finished game's files seen through the Creation Kit, only a single basic script remains of this quest. But the DialogueViews show all the dialogue that was attached to it:
Anything I can do to help?
"I am the wise woman. I guide our tribe and make sure we stay strong. I also make poisons for our hunters' arrows, and potions to keep our fighting spirits high. How about I give you something for your blade, to welcome you to our people? I just need a Skeever Tail and a Falmer Ear.
I have the Skeever Tail and a Falmer Ear.
"Good. Let me mix those for you. Here. A poison that will squeeze the life out of your enemies. And some coin, for your trouble. Mauloch smile on you, outlander.
  • This dialogue doesn't specify a speaker, so it's unknown which stronghold's wise woman would've given this quest. It's also unclear what would've triggered the line differences. One possibility is that one variant would've been used for Orcs and one for non-Orcs, though it seems more likely that one was an early, basic version, with the other being the more finalized one.
  • There's also early dialogue present in the DialogueViews for Sharamph's explanation about their way of life. This dialogue is almost identical to the final variant, except the name "Malacath" is replaced by Mauloch, a more uncommon name for the Daedric Prince.
