Shivering talk:Traelius

BugEdit

Can anyone else besides me confirm that Traelius' dialogue is bugged? He seems to have hidden himself well, and I'm wondering if there's some story behind why he's living in a cave. Nufy8 19:41, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

Ah, he's carrying a journal that tells his story. Nufy8 20:25, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

Is he hostile on sight, or is friendly and does not attack the player?

When I first found him I was crouched and he was friendly. He was friendly even after I stood up. Then, when I unsheathed my weapon he summoned a ghost and began to attack me. I submitted the "unsheathing" part in a bullet under the Notes section, but apparently it was removed by someone :|

He has a high Aggression and that is why he attacked when you unsheathed your weapon. If you had, say, cast a charm spell on him before doing so, he probably wouldn't have attacked. Thus, the bullet was taken off because it's not always true. --RpehTCE 07:22, 8 December 2007 (EST)
He attacked me on site and I had my weapon sheathed. — Unsigned comment by 207.199.196.90 (talk)
I've just tried it with two different characters; one had a personality of 100, the other had 40. The first was never attacked, the second was attacked on sight, even with his weapon sheathed. The reason is explained here. Let's assume both characters had a base disposition of 50 with Traelius. The first character gets a bonus of +25 because of her personality; the second gets a bonus of +8 because of his. Thus the first character isn't attacked because her disposition with Traelius is 75 (equal to his aggression) but the second one is because his disposition is only 58 (more than 5 points below the aggression).
We know that talking to somebody with a weapon unsheathed lowers disposition so it's possible that just being around them with a blade does the same. In the case where somebody was attacked when they took their weapon out the disposition must have been very close to the cutoff value of 70 and the weapon just tipped things over the edge. In any case, being attacked in this case is solely to do with standard game mechanics, not anything specific to Traelius and so there shouldn't be a note. –RpehTCE 06:04, 11 January 2008 (EST)

There is an additional bug: If he attacks you and you kill him that counts as a murder which is what happened to me. Questions: 1. Did anybody else have a very difficult time getting up the waterfall ledge?

I did the outcropping thing but the last jump was a bear as I had to finally fortify speed to 100 and acrobatics to 200.

2. Has anybody made it past the rocks on the upstream?

It looks like it goes for quite a bit further.

Not that you're looking for an answer almost 13 years later, but I don't think it's possible to make it past the rock pillars in either stream tunnel. If you tcl off and float through the pillars, the tunnels do go a little further, but they don't connect to anything - they just open up into the void. There isn't any loot back there, either. I added a note to the Dire Warren page about it. 73.3.58.200 22:40, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

EscortsEdit

(moved from the article)
  • If you have either of your two escorts after becoming Lord Sheagorath they will attack him on sight be he will not start battle with you so you must kill your escorts if you do not wish him to die.

Moved because it's almost incomprehensible. Do escorts always attack? What about other followers? –RpehTCE 04:39, 22 December 2008 (EST)
