PS3 Shivering Isles

Is the shivering isles coming out on PS3. I so, is it just on the GOTY edition or on PSN as well. If it is only on Goty, when is it coming out and will a normal oblivion save game still be compatible with it.

Serious anoyance!

Has anyone else found that NPCs have been getting killed off while they are in the SI. So far Big Head has been killed(I have already done quest for him so it's ok i guess). When i went to Highcross I could not find the quest NPC there, but when i went in her house at night the male NPC in that town was lying dead. I checked the argonian's house and she was also dead and I saw an Elder Gnarl run out of her door as I entered. I have no idea why this is happening. I could understand the Highcross citizens getting killed by an Elder Gnarl, but in their homes?! And how can Big Head's death be explained?! An interesting fact to note, everytime I have found a body they have never had their weapon drawn, and have all died and been found in quite intricate positions. Could someone please offer advice or has anyone had the same problem?

just adding to what I said before, I have found I have a bounty in Cyrodil of 22800, having not entered Cyrodil since I got the Shivering Isles expansion.

As to the reason why Big Head was killed he likes forks. So much in fact the he will steal any he can see and if he gets caught He does not want to pay the fine or go to jail (or more likely NPCs can’t do either of those). Thus it’s best if you do the quest ASAP. If you already did the quest and just need to turn it in you can type “resurrect” (without quotes) in the console when his corpse is targeted so you can turn in the quest. Be warned though that the guards will still chase him so don’t plan on him staying alive long. Ankoch

House? Pet?

Do you ever get a house in Shivering Isles? Can you ever get that Unskinned dog that follows you after a quest to leave you, or does it have to die?

The unskinned dog can be abandoned if you go to Cyrodil and leave it there; it won't follow you back. Elpiggo 18:52 07 May 2007 (EDT)

Elytra problem

I'm currently working on the Addiction quest, and I cannot find any of the glowing Elytras who drop the Felldew I need. I have talked to Wide-Eye and Syl's assistant (can't remember his name), and scoured Mania and Dementia for Elytra that will drop Felldew. So far I have found none. The ones at the cave entrance have not dropped any- they neither glow green or hae it on their corpses. I have let them respawn several times and they still have not showed up with Felldew in their inventories. Am I looking in the completely wrong place or are they just a bit rarer than normal Elytra? — Unsigned comment by 24.219.113.171 (talk)

They are rare in the sense that they can only be found at the entrance to Dunroot Burrow or inside the Burrow. You are looking in the right place if you are at the "tree like" entrance to Dunroot Burrow on the ridge of the mountain. There is another stone (backdoor) entrance to the Burrow down the hill to the north of the root entrance but it is locked and it does not have any Elytra near it, so I doubt you are checking there if you are finding Elytra guarding the entrance you're at. They are named the same as a normal Elytra and can be any level-type (i.e. Elytra Hatchling, Elytra Matron, etc.). I'm not sure what to tell you at this point, there should be quite a few guarding the entrance, use a detect life and make sure you aren't missing one that fell down the hill and can't reach you (which happens frequently). The Felldew itself is found on the corpse of the Elytra, when you check it, but ones who possess it are very, very recognizable, even in the daytime. Let us know how it goes, if you still can't find one, we'll go from there and see what other steps you can take. PS. Are you on PC or 360? --AlbinoMudcrab 02:38, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

I killed the Eltra at the door and didnt check it for the felldew, the corpse is not there anymore. Will i have to start all over again?

First Version Deleted?

Just wondering... and this may be a stupid question but, why was the first page deleted? --GuildKnight 17:40, 13 January 2007 (EST)

Other Expansions

If I buy this expansion will it come with knights of the nine and all the other plugins? Paradox 14:00, 19 February 2007 (EST)

Pete Hines says it will not, and explains why in this video:[1] --GuildKnight 18:12, 20 February 2007 (EST)
Warning: you will have to watch a stupid Bond movie commercial before it allows you to download the video. The link actually takes you to a review article on The Shivering Isles and you'll have to further click "Video interview". --FMan | Talk (contribs) 19:55, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Namespace?

Will this end up getting a full section tab entitled to it like the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions?— Unsigned comment by 66.159.148.43 (talk)

Not likely, since it has been debated whether Morrowind's expansions deserve their own namespace; However, we can't be sure until we see what's involved with Shivering Isles. --GuildKnight 22:51, 9 February 2007 (EST)
While currently, no, we don't know what the Shivering Isles will contain, we know from the released videos and interviews that it will be quite sizable and add "new items" to just about every category. From armor & weapons, spells, plants (flora), new factions, and at least two cities, there is no doubt it will be by definition an expansion. And while I do not support the idea of it having a section namespace on the side navigation, like GuildKnight says, I do think it would be easier and certainly more convenient (especially with the PS3 containing Isles when released) to have a link directly to the Isles Main Page on the main Oblivion page. Possibly under Quest Information as something like:
  • Maps – Are you familiar with your whereabouts?
  • Quests – All the quests upon which you can embark, venturing forth into the unknown.
  • Shivering Isles - All the additional quests, items, places, and content contained in Sheogorath's mad realm.
I think this would benefit non-contributors looking for information pertaining to the expansion as well, by making it easier to find. Someone simply browsing for information may not know or think to scroll to the bottom of the Oblivion page and click "Official Mods" hidden amongst Modding and Tech Support, or at the bottom of the Quests page named "Official Plugin Quests". Which seem contrary to each other seeing as how they both go to the same page, but that'd be another discussion. Anyhow my point is, currently it seems slightly hidden and would do better moved to a more noticeable area, it's an important change to the main page so I wanted to run it by and get some input from our team here before I did it (or not). I think this is further supported due to the fact that not many pages link here yet, which is to be expected but doesn't give it that "wiki circle" yet (where one article leads to another and another due to the links in the article). --AlbinoMudcrab 22:54, 15 February 2007 (EST)
There have ended up being two separate conversations about this. The question of whether to create a namespace for Shivering Isles was discussed in Community Portal#Mobile_Game_Page_Names; the topic may seem somewhat strange, but one thing led to another. So towards the end there was basically a decision to create a new "Shivering" namespace for the Shivering Isles; I've forwarded the proposal to Daveh, but I don't think he's taken any actions yet. The question can definitely be further discussed, but that's where things stand so far.
In the community portal section there was also some discussion about the side bar and how to deal with having new games to list, but there didn't seem to be any consensus on that part of things. I agree with the basic idea that there will have to be an easier way to find Shivering Isles once we start to add content. AlbinoMudcrab's idea for having it near the top of the Oblivion page definitely makes sense. Also, if I ever follow through on my "All Games" page it would be fairly prominently listed there. --Nephele 00:06, 16 February 2007 (EST)
After some serious thought, I think that a new namespace makes a lot of sense. It really wouldn't work the same way as Knights of the Nine. For KotN new items, we just made the page Oblivion:Knights of the Nine New Items. While that is a long name, that was really the only non-quest page we added. For Shivering Isles, there will be numerous NPCs, Ingredients, Creatures, Places, Items, etc. added. Unlike KotN, these will most likely be listed on new pages that are linked to from the main Shivering page, and it would be counterproductive to try to make Oblivion:Shivering Isles New Items, Oblivion:Shivering Isles Ingredients, Oblivion:Shivering Isles Places, etc. It seems intuitive that to find a list of places in the Isles, you would type Shivering Isles:Places.
It would still be very simple to link from Oblivion pages to Shivering pages, for example if an ingredient found in the Isles makes an Oblivion mission easier. Of course, each and every page that is linked to from the Oblivion namespace should be clearly marked as Official Plugin material, and mentioned in the text that contains the link if possible.
Also, in KotN, there was the concern of players being unaware what is original material and what was added by the plugin, so, in Nephele's words, "If you're wandering through the countryside and come across Fort Bulwark, for example, you should just be able to type in Oblivion:Fort_Bulwark to find the page describing that place." I am pretty sure the player will be able to tell if they are in the regular old gameworld, or in the Shivering Isles; to search for something you harvested in the Isles, you would type Shivering Isles:Whatever-root.
I love AlbinoMudcrab's idea of linking to the Shivering pages from the main Oblivion page. I have long felt that KotN's pages were much too hard to find. Shivering Isles having its own namespace would not complicate that at all that I can see. --GuildKnight 16:25, 16 February 2007 (EST)
You should have just listened to me in the first place. ;) If for not any othe reason, then simply to keep in line with Morrowind's expansions on UESP. --FMan | Talk (contribs) 19:55, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Multiplayer

OK, This may seem like an incredibly stupid thing for me to ask, but I have heard it from a few people on Xbox Live about the possibility for the expansion to be Multiplayer. One of my friends insists that it going to be, but I have my doubts. He said he saw it in one of his game magazines. Anyone know anything about this? --Arador 00:01, 6 February 2007 (EST)

Why third pers?

Most articles on this wiki are written in a convoluted second person--"you do this, you do that." Why is this article in formal third person--"the player this, the player that"? Somercy 12:27, 12 February 2007 (EST)

Well, we've never really set up a defined way to write in that respect other than to say no first person. I believe most Quest Walkthroughs are written in Second Person, while other pages tend to be in third person. I'm not really sure, and we probably need to decide on one. (Or if there is already a correct way, make sure everyone knows it).--Ratwar 12:52, 12 February 2007 (EST)
The difference is that at the time this was written, the Isles hadn't been released yet, I don't know. For unreleased items it just makes more sense for some reason ~

Usurping Sheogorath?

I don't know if I'd take the tagline mentioned on the official pages as a sign that the player gets to take Sheogorath's place. I had assumed it meant you get to act as his avatar in the struggle to save his realm. Seems a bit too vague to draw such a big conclusion from.

Also on that note, "usurping the deity" just sounds odd. Usurp the deityship or -hood, but not the god himself! Somercy 13:07, 22 February 2007 (EST)

Is this game will be in stores or I have to buy it at Xbox 360 marketplace?

I'm just wondering if I need 2400 points or $30.00CDN to buy it at stores.--ShakenMike 15:25, 6 March 2007 (EST)

As Knights of the Nine was available in stores, I can only assume this will be too. Jadrax 15:33, 6 March 2007 (EST)
The retail will only be for PC, like Knights of the Nine. I think because Microsoft made them only release it on Live for xbox.-- 67.142.130.17 15:52, 6 March 2007 (EST)

What? This is a expansion for Oblivion, it has nothing to do with Morrowind. We were just bashing Microsoft because they want beth to only release it on xbox live, Its not a scam, it just M$ promoting their service. --67.142.130.17 16:40, 6 March 2007 (EST)

Ok I'll get the microsoft points then and I heard I can use my gamerscore to use as a microsoft points(I'm not sure this is true or not)--ShakenMike 17:30, 6 March 2007 (EST)

No, you can't use your gamerscore as microsoft points. --67.142.130.44 20:32, 7 March 2007 (EST)

P.S. Microsoft = Evil ;)

Yay, in an interveiw with Shivering Isles senior game designer Bruce Nesmith he said that Bethesda is going to release Oblivion Special Edition with Shivering Isles on the disk. Now people without Live (like me) will be able to play it. He said that they want to release isles by itself but it wouldn't work, which sounds like bull because Bungie put out a map pack for halo. Housing

I am wondering if there will be housing available in the Shivering Isles, or at least a place that won't respawn. I want to truly roleplay the expansion by bringing with me only what a real person could carry. To keep my inventory realistic, I'll probably need a place for storage. Any thoughts? Does anyone know if there are any 'safe' places? --User:Dio 225

Their probably will be, but it hasn't been confirmed as far as I know --67.142.130.17 17:14, 6 March 2007 (EST)
I am guessing that as a Duke you will have access to a house Pferris 23:54, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

You can use the containers in the bedrooms of the palace. they seem to be safe.

Thanks. Can someone tell me if you get any official room/house during the main quest with safe areas for storage?

I'm looking for confirmation of this. I have just acquired one of the rooms and I desperately need to drop some things off somewhere. It is a massive pain to go back to Bravil, and at this point in the quest I can't go to the Fringe anyways without continuing. Does anyone know for certain, that the chests don't respawn. Everything has a "go" (tan) icon, so it's not stealing to interact with. This is one of my only, but biggest disappointments with the Isles, not one house, not at any of the towns or in New Sheoth, the lack of merchants at any of the settlements is an equal disappointment. So, are we certain about the chests, thanks ahead. --AlbinoMudcrab 01:47, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
I can't really answer your question, because I haven't gotten hold of SI on my PC yet, so I can't check it in the construction set. But if you have to use the chests and are at all worried about it, you can ensure that chests don't respawn by being sure to visit the room that they're in before 72 hours have passed. As long as you just walk into the room, you reset the 72 hour timer and keep things there indefinitely.
Or alternatively you can test it yourself in game: put some piece of clutter into each container you want to use, walk outside the building, and wait for 73+ hours. Go back in and check whether the items you left are still there, or whether they've been replaced. If your items survive 73 hours, then the chests are non-respawning. --NepheleTalk 01:57, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
OK, checking it by waiting the 73 hours for respawn was the most obvious thing ever. I guess that's why we pay you the big money. I really should start with the CS... sigh Alright, checked it with 73, 96, and 120 hours. All chests and urns are safe to store in. I'd assume desks and whatnot are as well. I only tested the room I seemed to receive, it is not mentioned in the quest update but yes, it appears the room becomes yours when you obtain it's title (trying not to spoil this Nephele). Once again, thank you highly miss lady of the clouds. --AlbinoMudcrab 02:33, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
The house of Hirrus Clutumnus has a little box in it that passed a 73 hour test. While taking anything from that house is normally stealing, after the Final Resting quest, you are given a key to the house and the little box, and the quest is fairly easy. Seems like it might be an all right storage spot. --Djsyntic 23:34, 30 April 2007 (EDT)

Achievements

I am wondering if there is a need to link the achievements, or for them to have their own entry off the Shivering Isles page. They can be found here http://www.achieve360points.com/game/theelderscrollsivoblivion/ Pferris 23:56, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

I think creating a page here makes sense. --Nephele 00:44, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
And now it's been done. --Nephele 22:37, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Reorganization

In preparation for the release of this expansion pack, I'm thinking that perhaps this page and the namespace in general needs some reorganization. The steps that I'm thinking need to be done include:

  • This page should be moved to a name like Shivering:About.
  • The main Shivering:Shivering_Isles page should be set up to be similar in format to Oblivion:Oblivion or Tribunal:Tribunal.
  • Pages like Shivering:Quests, Shivering:Places, Shivering:People should be set up. They'll be pretty much empty pages for now, but as soon as someone downloads the expansion I'm sure they'll be needed so people have an obvious place to start adding the information
  • A link to Shivering:Xbox 360 Achievements needs to be added to the new main page
  • Templates like Shivering Quests Trail, Shivering Places Trail need to be ready... maybe even a demo quest page so people can easily copy and paste the format and then fill in the blanks

It's all going to need to be done sooner or later, and getting some of the framework ready and in place ahead of time is probably going to reduce the amount of initial chaos. Are there any other suggestions?

If anyone agrees and is willing to jump in and tackle some of this, go for it! I know there are a few editors who are eagerly awaiting the expansion pack... one way to fill the time until it's in your hands :) --Nephele 22:52, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

I might help, I can't create any pages and I probably won't have Isles for a while so I can't add any info, but I'm sure I'll be able to do something. -- Chaos Monkey Talk 23:10, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Out for 360

I just downloaded it...

It is AWESOME

Some things I noticed right away

  • Awesomeness
  • Gatekeeper not as strong as I thought (if you finish both quests he goes down in approximately 3 shots with a bow.)
  • Followers didn't come in with me
  • Weird fat monster that had like a curvy mace...
  • Torturing the adventurers was pretty fun.
  • Good voice acting by Sheogorath. Nice Scottish accent.

Quick Hints

  • Get the two books (one lists creatures and their strengths/weaknesses, the other lists the flora of the isles.)
  • You'll want Seastride before coming in. A lot of swampy land and enemies that heal in the water. If you bump off Hirrus Clutumnus you'll get the Ring of Happiness which provides Water Walking as well as Feather, Light, and Fortify Personality.)
  • Amber magic greaves grant 10 pts speed increase, but they are levelled so the ones you get may differ.
  • Madness ore gauntlets increase blade/blunt (8 pts each).
  • Dawn/Dusk fang (sword) weighs 39 lbs. Haven't found a place to put down my inventory yet.
The sword is leveled. The better versions are also heavier. The level 34 version weighs 47 lbs.
  • Guy who sells spells and scrolls/books (Something Mysteries) is a novice of mercantile and has a thousand bucks.
  • Curing the sickly woman who runs the inn gives the Circlet of Verdure which resists disease and poison 50%, fortify health 30 pts, and fortify endurance 10 pts.
The Circlet is also leveled. At level 34 it gives 100% Resist Disease/Poison/Paralysis.
  • Finding a place for the guy to sleep outside got a worthless scroll.
  • Getting the Khajiit beggar to leave town got me a dog for a while. (I love the Orc who's afraid of cats!)
  • The tour of the museum of oddities is fun. Follow her around.
  • Do both the quests to kill the gatekeeper in The Fringe. It makes it much easier.

Really?

"after resting for 24 hours" - do you have to rest? Can't you just play the base game for that time after installing the expansion? If you aren't specifically required to "rest" it shouldn't say so (instead: let 24H pass by resting or doing other stuff). --194.251.240.114 19:17, 27 March 2007 (EDT)

I didn't rest; was finishing up some more fighters guild quests and got the message... or I've heard you can just go straight to niben bay and swim over to the island. :) --87.194.115.207 04:16, 28 March 2007 (EDT)

Museum of Oddities

I found an item called "Hounds Tooth Key" which looks vaugley reminiscent of a minitaur horn. I belive it was a random drop loot as i think i found it in a hollowed out stump in one of the root dungeons very close to the gates of madness. I was able to give this to the curator at the museum and its now on display. Anyone one else found this, or know what it does?

Its just a funny decoratoin for the musuem

From Main Page

I moved this here form the main page:

in a abandonded town (Vitharn) on the south side of SI, east of Xiditte or south of backwash camp, theres a quest that has to do with dead people but there is a musoleam(sp?) and in one of the glass cases is the pelvis of pelagius

the pelvis is for the musuem of oddities. i found it in the howling halls though

The Gatekeeper Is WAY Too Easy

Just for fun, I tried taking on the gatekeeper one on one without the poison or Jayred. In my full suit of Divine Crusader Armor, I slayed the Gatekeeper with the Sword of the Crusader and only lost about 1/4 of my health. I'm about level 34, don't have any amazing rings and had the difficulty on default. I was disappointed, since I thought he would be alot harder, although I do like the fact that it is at least possible to kill him by yourself. Anyone else have the same gripe? Dio 225

Do you power level? Did you have any reflect damage items on? -- Chaos Monkey Talk 17:36, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
If by power levelling you mean levelling efficiently, yes. My stats are maxed, and the shield of the crusader has about 17% reflect damage. But I thought that this gatekeeper was supposed to be a tank! Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else thought that same thing.
Well..it's Oblivion and the developers did say you could jump right in the expansion from the start. Because of that, they aren't going to make a gatekeeper who is impossible to defeat if the expansion is meant to be very accessible. It's just for the novelty factor. --Vartan 19:20, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
That's precisely the point: "It's Oblivion." This game is famous/notorious for the fact that the world levels up with you. Making an enemy that comes across as a godlike tank worthy of all the hype that it's gotten both in-game and out, regardless of the player level or completion of other official content is not mutually exclusive with making the expansion accessible. The accessibility comes from the fact that there are two separate quests that open up Achilles' Heel options. If you don't go for one of the Achilles' Heel quests, you should be in for a significant pounding.
I don't know, I feel that your question seems fairly obvious. Why don't you try creating a character and try taking on the gatekeeper with no special equipment. I've found that the Divine Armor really does make many challenges easier. Try to take the Gatekeeper on man-o-el-man-o using no potions, no magic (not even healing magic or enchanted equipment). Use something like Steel Armor and a Steel weapon. Yes this game can be made very easy by going for some certain things that will always show up. Try taking on the Gatekeeper before your character has reached "Demigod" status. I personally don't understand why you are surprised to have been able to take down the Gatekeeper with ease. You've already said your stats are maxed and that you are wearing equipment that was specifically designed to help you take down powerful creatures. --Djsyntic 23:46, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
Err, try the gatekeeper after you rebuild it with the difficulty slider all the way up - some spells don't even damage him. I think with the slider all teh way up, he isn't damaged ANY by whatever shield arm you picked out. I casted several apotheosis spells (I made my own "custom" version of the staff's spell, 58 magicka and kills nearly everything in one hit) at it, and they did.. no damage. I got killed in about 4 hits, with 379 health; if you pick the heart of wound sharing, it is a lot more powerful than just regular ol' reflect damage. I did several tests, and with 53% damage reflection he goes down a lot quicker, although on very hard with 85 armor rating and NO damage reflection, he can kill you pretty easily - I'd say somewhere around 4-7 hits, depending on your health. I'm a mage, so he pretty much slaughtered me.. - Aeroice 00:03, 2 June 2007 (EDT)

Aye, i whipped the gatekeeper without having to do all the Jayred stuff and lost only around 1/10 of my health on 'half way' difficulty. However although i found the gatekeeper extremely easy some of the quests later on were a great challenge!--Willyhead 07:32, 17 June 2007 (EDT)

Heretics

I'm wondering whether the Heretics should be listed under People or creatures. They seem more like people to me, but Dark Seducers and Golden Saints kind of do, too, so I thought I'd ask here first. --GuildKnight | Talk contribs 00:09, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

Heretics and Zealots should be treated as unnamed Bandits and Marauders are in the main Oblivion: Namespace. And the Golden Saints and Dark Seducers should be treated as the unnamed Guards.

I WANT IT!

;.; My cousin got shivering Isles and i want it, but...

1. (Currently) Have no live, or live points 2. Dont know if it's coming out on a disk...and i don't have the money D:

If you really want to get it and you dont have Xbox live, get some sort of job/agreement were you get some cash, and save up till ye can buy Oblivion on PC with KotN and Shivering as disks > that is if your PC is good enough;)--Willyhead 07:37, 17 June 2007 (EDT)

How Should I Play Shivering Isles?

I am waiting for Shivering Isles to be delivered from Amazon. Since I opted for free shipping, it should show up sometime in May. ;) So I'm wondering: Should I start a brand new character at 1st level? Or should I continue using my current character, who is so powerful that it's not particularly fun playing with him? I would bet a lot of your readers will have this same question. Is this already discussed anywhere in the Shivering Isles section? If not, it might be a worthwhile addition! Cheers... 66.188.6.131 03:01, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

It doesn't matter. I played it with a pretty new character, and it helps to have a bit of money and stuff on you, like on a quest where it helps to have a bow, so a character you already have would already have one or have the money to get one. --Elpiggo 13:24, 06 May 2007 (EST)

Aah you may think that your character is invinsible now, but quests on shivering isles are way harder than on Oblivion in my opinion. My once invinsible character actually got slaughtered by Gigantic bugs on one mission!--Willyhead 07:40, 17 June 2007 (EDT)

What I'm doing (as I haven't got it yet) is going in with the worst armour and weapons available (Iron), so it'll acually be a challenge, bearing in mind that my character is LvL 37.--Merco 15:04, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Accidentally broke the notice trying to add link to announcement of target date for final patch

Tried to add a link to Bethesda's announcement of a target date for the final patch to the notice box. It didn't work too well. I'm stepping back and letting someone with more experience with notice boxes revert it, or put my intended edit in. My Bad. 65.14.2.104 21:41, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

I've reverted the edit. I have no idea what caused that or what the message meant, so I'm not going to mess with it further. --Deathbane27 22:04, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

box art

I don't know if this belongs here but is it just me or does The gateway of Madness look like the stone head from the movie Zardoz? --unsigned

Nice one! And though not intended to be such, the Zardoz head was used as an entrance too. And a bit of dichomatic situation on the other side of the Zardoz head as well -- something of Mania vs. Decay. Of course entryways shaped like heads are a pretty common architectural idea, and even more basic you have the idea of the "mouth of a cave". And there are plenty of terms like the "mouth of madness" to inspire the SI entrance. Anway, basic theme and basic conflict of SI is totally different from Zardoz. So, interesting, but  --Wrye 22:34, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

i know its wrong to contradict a member but i noticed the simularity also and after rewatching the movie couldnt help but feel like the game was based very much off zardoz. the idea of zardoz is a mortal choosen as a assasin to enter zardoz realm and yeah after that the movie falls outa the simularity. but the enterance/ reason for entering and general madness and confusuion of what you have to do once you get there is undoubtly parralell. so who knows maybe the staff members have seen zardoz once and the idea came into there subconciess while planning shivering isles. in the end the only major diffrence was instead of guns we had swords

Beards?

I saw a guy with a full beard in the SI trailor and was wondering if when I install it I will get the chance to put a beard on one of my characters. Grub 08:37, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

The guy with the full beard is Sheogorath. It isn't possible to put a beard on your characters, as this beard (only one type) is only there for characters belonging to the "Sheogorath Race", which is an unplayable race. However, should you have a mod that makes your character be from the "Sheogorath Race" (which would mean giving up your previous race) a beard is automatically added. (I tried a few experiments in the Construction Set) --Timenn 08:57, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

Bummer. I thought as a Daedric Prince he would look more hellish. Like a Daedra. Wasn't there a guy killed for growing a beard in the easter egg section? That seems kind of contradictory.Grub 19:54, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

Well you know...not all of the deadric princes are of a demonic dispostion and they usually take a form that suits there disposition-Anonymous
