Patron/Deck article titlesEdit

How should the articles for Tales of Tribute Patrons be titled? Ingame theyre simply called the patron's name without any suffix like Deck or Patron, which I personally would prefer but it would require disambiguation for the few that already have articles, ex. Online:Duke of Crows (Patron) or Online:Duke of Crows (Tales of Tribute). Alternatively we could add Patron or Deck to the ends of the titles (which Erorah already did for 2 articles) ex. Online:Duke of Crows Patron or Online:Duke of Crows Deck. Wanted to ask before we create more articles for each of the patrons. --Lottieratworld (talk) 03:44, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

As far as I knew, Patrons are the leaders / themes / of each Deck. There are 8 Patrons. They are categorized as Tribute Patrons [1]
Each Patron's Deck has [#of] Cards, [#of] Upgrade Fragments, etc.
The upgrade fragments, as an example, are called '[Type] [PatronName] Deck Fragment'. [2] This piece is from the subCategoryName|Ansei Frandar Hunding Deck as seen in the Log Viewer. The descriptions tells us that it is "A component required to create the Tales of Tribute deck..."
So I do believe that term Deck should be used. Erorah (talk) 11:26, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
ALSO - Please change this page however you wish. I had just added sections that I thought should be touched on ;) Erorah (talk) 15:29, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
If we decide to add a suffix like Deck I personally think Patron is a better choice, as in the context of the game it seems to encompass both the deck and the patron token itself, and the name of the collectible category from them is Patrons (which can be seen ingame or in the item data under categoryName). Only the fragments for the two constructed patrons, Hunding and Orgnum, use the term "deck" to encompass the patron and deck.
Also just to clarify, the fragments are used to create and obtain those 2 decks, not for upgrades. Upgrading is done through unlocking them via achievements or clues that can be randomly found in tribute reward containers.--Lottieratworld (talk) 05:02, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
Quick addition, the decks and patrons are always paired together, you will always get the deck alongside obtaining the patron. And choosing a Patron at the start of a match also chooses their deck, so essentially the patron and deck are one and the same--Lottieratworld (talk) 05:04, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I get this now; I have finally COMBINED my first one :)
I am just trying to get articles started since we are past release and they had not been. But I still believe that DECK should be used, as well as Patron. Erorah (talk) 14:21, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
The question is whether the patron and the deck will all be detailed on the same article. If the answer is yes, then the title of the article name would just the name of the Patron, as that's what it is in-game. This would only not be the case where another article already exists with that name, which would mean it would have a (Tales of Tribute) disambiguator. So for example, Online:Ansei Frandar Hunding would be one page title, while Online:Duke of Crows (Tales of Tribute) would be another. --Enodoc (talk) 15:08, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Yes this is what i was planning, you can see an example of what ive written so far here User:Lottieratworld/Sandbox. i dont think theres enough info for the patron itself to warrant making it a separate page from the deck its connected to --Lottieratworld (talk) 20:21, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Went ahead and created these pages. If there's any issues with the naming feel free to move them :) --Lottieratworld (talk) 22:31, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

LocationsEdit

Do we have a list, somewhere, of where all the gaming halls are? I found one gaming hall page (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Gonfalon_Gaming_Hall), but I can't find others. All the locations/halls should be linked on this main ToT page (I'll start a "Locations" section, though for now it will only have the one I found). Solomon1972

Roister's Club has a list of all the gaming halls. Oath2order (talk) 15:10, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, Oath! Fixed. Solomon1972
You're welcome! 😊 Oath2order (talk) 04:47, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

Map IconEdit

I couldn't find the ToT icon from inside ESO, so I just used the Misc ("X" symbol) to put it on the UESP map. I only knew of two places (Gonfalon Bay and Shimmerene, because I just happened to walk by it in-game). Do we have an icon maker who is working on creating the ToT icon for UESP map usage? Solomon1972

Building off this, is anyone able to do the Fragment image for Druid King? Oath2order (talk) 04:47, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
Return to "Tales of Tribute" page.
