spring loaded infusion + Bone pirate doesn't add up correctly on the simulator.

So this was a bug on the live server which was fixed with dragon bones but has not been fixed on here. you are missing the bonus from bone for having a drink active. Tested like it was on live as with dubious you get more max stamina despite both being drinks and spring loaded actually giving more stamina. — Unsigned comment by Dillpaat (talkcontribs) at 23:23 on 28 February 2018

I've adjust what is considered food/drink in the editor which fixes this specific problem. There is no clear pattern in the game exactly what food/drink triggers set bonuses like this unless they fixed all the foods that triggered drink bonuses and vice-versa since I tested it. If you find anything else in-game that doesn't match the editor let us know. -- Daveh (talk) 14:39, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Disable CP option bug skill costs & crit values

When the Enable CP option is checked, no problem with crit values & skill costs, but when I un-checked it, the skills cost changes : magicka templar breton with 5 light armor, Pucturing Sweeps cost is 2451 (which is good in game) goes to 1906 on the build editor. Same for crit values, I have 36% in game (35.8 on the Editor), when I disable CPs it goes to 30.2% where it should be 24% — Unsigned comment by Karnakovy8 (talkcontribs) at 05:48 on 1 March 2018

This should be now fixed (your effective level stays at whatever it was before CP was disabled). -- Daveh (talk) 15:02, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Innate Axiom don't buff class skills ?

The Innate Axiom set seems to don't buff the class abilities tooltip on the editor — Unsigned comment by Karnakovy8 (talkcontribs) at 05:50 on 1 March 2018

Toggled Set - Crushing Wall mixed up between types of staves

I have a Maelstrom Inferno staff but when I toggle the "Crushing Wall" set bonus (i.e. (1 item) Your Light and Heavy Attacks deal an additional 1341 damage to enemies in your Wall of Elements.), it is my SHOCK STAFF Light and Heavy Attacks that receive the extra damage and not FIRE STAFF ones under Computed Character Statistics. — Unsigned comment by Azhrarn666 (talkcontribs) at 18:26 on 9 March 2018

Fixed! Missed some of the destruction LA calculations when adding the Crushing Wall bonus. Note that equipping a Maelstrom staff will enable the extra bonus on all of the computed LA/HA staff values. -- Daveh (talk) 18:20, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Adding to this, please could you add a toggle for Domihaus too? Although it's not too common it is still a buff that can be run Delibirdite (talk) 07:21, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Can you confirm that Domihaus applies to allies inside the ring? I thought it was just the caster and can't find any confirmation about it online. -- Daveh (talk) 19:11, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Vampire Magicka/Stamina regen not being reflected

When you toggle Vampire skill line On/Off, the 10% regen from supernatural recovery passive is not getting applied. This is observed after Dragon Bones DLC update. — Unsigned comment by Eclipse0990 (talkcontribs) at 10:52 on 12 March 2018

This seems to be working for me at the moment. Make sure you have purchased the passive as it is not purchased automatically. If you still have issues with this link your build and I'll take a closer look. -- Daveh (talk) 18:31, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Vampire flame weakness

Is it possible to add the weakness to flame when a character is a vampire? — Unsigned comment by Delibirdite (talkcontribs) at 12:37 on 13 March 2018‎

It should already be. For example, at Vampire stage 4 you'll find 25% FlameDamageTaken on the raw data tab. This countered by any CP FlameDamageTaken bonus. Note that at the moment there isn't any related stat using this on the right-hand side. I'll look at adding an overall "X Damage Taken" fields in the near future. -- Daveh (talk) 18:23, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Buffs

Some major buffs are being applied passively when they should be toggle-able. Warden's Bull netch as an example. — Unsigned comment by Delibirdite (talkcontribs) at 12:39 on 13 March 2018

The Dreugh King Slayer set does not seem programmed to add Major Brutality when all five pieces are active. I can toggle Major Brutality in the buff list when all 5 DKS pieces are active, whereas a set like Chudan greys out the Major Resolve/Ward to show it's permanently enabled when both pieces are worn. Missing Trait

Nirnhoned for Mighty Chudan set is currently not available. — Unsigned comment by Alex in wonder (talkcontribs) at 01:46 on 25 March 2018

All monster sets, including Mighty Chudan, can't be dropped in Nirnhoned. The best you can do is transmute it. Delibirdite (talk) 08:58, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Yes, that's correct. When they added Transmutation they didn't go back and add old item versions in Nirnhoned. So for such items that don't exist just choose any trait and transmute it via the drop-down list just to the right of the item slot. The "quick item setup" section at the bottom of the item tab aren't yet smart enough to do this automatically yet. -- Daveh (talk) 18:26, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Enable CP stats issue

Whenever I uncheck "enable cp" the following stats change: weapon crit percentage, percentage of spell/ physical/ critical/ resist. No CP where spend beforehand. Absolute numbers stay the same. Same for elemental resist percentages, depending on race and if racial skill line is purchased.

E.g. weapon crit inclines from 27,7% to 35,8%. Crit resist stays at 2911 but percentage increases from 44% to 58%. — Unsigned comment by Ulysses Revan (talkcontribs) at 11:10 on 2 May 2018

Currently, the base skill and morphs scale as follows:

Destruction Staff Abilities

Looks like when you slot any destruction staff ability in either bar, save the build and reload it, the destruction staff abilities don't stay in your bars. This only happens when you check the Update 18 Changes box, save and reload the build. Fixed! -- Daveh (talk) 19:50, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
This still seems to be an issue, or has become and issue again since the above fix. Destruction Staff abilities do not stay in your bar when you save a build, nor do they update to the element type when added to the bar.Vargr (talk) 16:26, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
When editing a build, I am seeing a skill listed for every skill that can have an elemental effect. In other words, I see the skill 'Elemental Storm', but I also see separate skills for 'Fire Storm', 'Ice Storm' and 'Thunder Storm', each with its appropriately versioned icon. Similarly, for 'Wall of Elements', 'Destructive Touch' and 'Impulse'. Actually, on at least one build (http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildEditor?id=43406) I only see the generic skill name/icon 4 times, for these skills that have elemental effects - this is maybe because I do not have a staff equipped in Items. Update 18 toggle produces drastically different tooltip calculations

Since the changes to the Update 18 toggle yesterday, toggling the box on changes my skill tooltips by over 50%. For example, with it off, my buffed Dawnbreaker tooltip says 18750 initial damage. Checking the Update 18 box, saving and reloading (with nothing else changed) results in that same tooltip saying less than 8000 initial damage. Other skill tooltips are similarly <50% of their pre-Update 18 values. This occurs both with extant builds and with entirely new ones. Is this a bug or does it reflect the changes coming with Summerset? TYIA Virtus753 (talk) 22:11, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

I don't see this effect with my Magicka Templar (tooltips are almost identical). Can you link your builds you see this issue so I can take a closer look? Likely it is a bug in the builder with the 18pts ruleset for such a larger difference. -- Daveh (talk) 01:23, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Here's one I've been playing with the past few days for my Stamplar: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=44169 The strangest thing about enabling Update 18 is that the "View Build" page seems to show the correct data from what I can see, including skill tooltips, but the "Edit Build" page is not showing that same data. For example, under View Build for the one I linked, I see a Dawnbreaker tooltip of 18282 (initial damage) and a weapon critical rating of 58.5%. Clicking over to "Edit Build" shows me 7753 for Dawnbreaker's initial damage and 48.6% for weapon crit. I tracked down the crit rating difference in the Raw Data tab, which shows that at least two passives are missing with Update 18 enabled: the Twin Blade and Blunt effect from Dual Wield, which accounts for the 48.6% crit instead of 58.5% (running two daggers); and the Piercing Spear passive from Aedric Spear, which should be enabled by Jabs being slotted on the front bar and Javelin on the back. As a result of the missing Spear passive effect, which adds 10% crit damage, the weapon critical damage stat shows 65% instead of 75% under Edit Build. But these two things shouldn't affect tooltip damage at all. I've tried logging in and out, as well as using different browsers (Firefox and Chrome) and computers; I always see the same results. Could it still be something on my end that is not working correctly? Please let me know if I can clarify anything or test further. Thank you very much for your help. Virtus753 (talk) 05:22, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Looks like ultimates and stamina abilities are incorrectly trying to use magicka/spell damage for their coefficients. I'm re-running the skill coefficients today and will make sure this gets fixed. -- Daveh (talk) 14:05, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
It should now be mostly fixed. I still have to double-check all the new skill coefficients but most of the skills on your bars seem to have the same values as previously. If you find any other skills acting strange with the 18pts ruleset just let us know! -- Daveh (talk) 18:41, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the quick response! I'll let you know if I see anything else. Virtus753 (talk) 19:27, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Just a quick update that the Twin Blade and Blunt passive has been fixed for Update 18, but I'm still not seeing Piercing Spear activate with Jabs or Javelin slotted. TYIA Virtus753 (talk) 18:33, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

AOE damage taken

Hey, any chance you could insert a calc for AOE damage taken. Would prefer the TOTAL mitigation in % from the base aoe skill damage to the actual aoe damage taken (including all mitigation effects). Thanks. — Unsigned comment by Sacredagent (talkcontribs) at 09:58 on 10 May 2018

Weapon Damage Enchant values swapped for front/back bars when only one is infused

In the build I linked above (in section 20), I have a weapon damage enchant on an infused weapon on the front bar, but the Weapon Damage Enchant under Buffs has a value of 348 rather than 452. Conversely, on the back bar, where I have a weapon damage glyph on a non-infused bow, the Weapon Damage Enchant under Buffs reads 452 instead of 348. These switched values carry over to the Raw Data tab and seem to affect the calculations concerning weapon damage when the buff is toggled on. Was this a known issue? I seem to recall reading a note about infused weapon damage enchantments, but I can't find it again. TYIA. Virtus753 (talk) 21:02, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Haven't looked at this issue yet but I'm guessing the builder is just confused as to which weapon damage enchantment to use when you have one on both the front and back bars. Either of them could be active at a given time. Originally the feature was added to permit the backbar weapon damage enchantment to take effect to simulate swapping weapons, procing the enchantment, and then swapping back. I'll take a look after the update 18 changes are in and see if I can give priority to the currently equipped weapon when there are 2 weapon damage enchantments to choose from. In the meantime if you change the enchantment on the non-infused weapon it might prevent the builder from being confused as too which one to choose. -- Daveh (talk) 17:52, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Skill Point Bug

I have 2 builds with the same skills, but the builder reports my old build (http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=57825) is using 48 skill points while the new build (http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=64099) is using only 34. By my own calculations, the new build is correct. I have reset each skill line individually, and this hasn't changed anything. I have not tried to reset the entire page. I can try this if you want, but I left it alone for now in case you want the old build for debugging. MachineKludge (talk) 04:59, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the notes. There were some bugs in the skill point counting that have been fixed but you need a full skill point reset to fix at the moment. I'll try any look at your 2 builds and see if there's a way to fix it automatically when the build is first loaded. -- Daveh (talk) 15:29, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Skill Point Calculation Feature

I would like to see a couple changes to the way skill points are calculated and tracked.

  • Do not count the cost of free skills. There are a number of free skills: Soul Trap, Bat Swarm, Werewolf Transformation, the default racial trait passive, and the baseline crafting passives. Also, there is a freebie passive associated with each of the DLC/Chapters that added a new skill line. Enabling these skills in the builder should never increment the skill point counter; disabling them should not decrement the counter. Reasoning: You were never charged for these skills, you can't remove them (exluding the cure for vampire/werewolf) and there is no skill point you could get back.
    • Enable the freebie skills by default when creating a new build.
  • Add a checkbox to hide the DLC/Chapter skill lines. This would prevent these skills from being listed when looking at the build view, i.e. Special:EsoBuildData. Checking this box would also prevent any skills enabled in the editor for that skill line from being used on any of the build calculations such as total skill points or buffs.
    • By default, the DLC/Chapter skill lines are hidden.
  • Add a checkbox to each crafting skill line to hide the skill line. This would prevent these skills from being listed when looking at the build view, i.e. Special:EsoBuildData.
    • By default, the crafting skill lines are not hidden.

MachineKludge (talk) 04:59, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Most of the "free" skills were already working but I've added Soul Trap and Werewolf Transformation. It doesn't look like Bat Swarm is a free skill unless you can verify it on Live (was not free on PTS). I've added all your other suggestions to the "TODO" list. Thanks! -- Daveh (talk) 15:23, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Innate Axiom Restoration Staff defaults to stamina enchantment

My innate axiom restoration staff shows an absorb stamina enchantment even though I didn't select it and if I try to remove it, it remains. If I select a different enchantment it correctly shows it, but I cannot set a staff with no enchantment. Like a World Boss (talk) 13:22, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Currently the "Unequip Enchantment" removes the manually applied enchantment but leaves the default item's enchantment in place. I'll see if I can change this to force the removal of the default enchantment as well although technically in-game there is no way to remove an item's enchantment (only replace it). -- Daveh (talk) 18:53, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
That staff has never had and does not have have any enchantment applied. I haven't added one as I was playing around with poisons when I made it and was checking affects for some potential enchantments when I noticed it. It doesn't affect me seeing other enchantments and may not really affect any important stats due to it being an absorb stamina enchant so its not a major issue. Either way I appreciate the tool... have you ever thought about putting it up on GitHub to get help maintaining or anything? Like a World Boss (talk) 20:12, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Possible excessive crit statistics

Not sure the cause, it seems like it may be incorrectly calculating percentage from the values, but could be just incorrectly stacking crit percent, but my crit chance goes from 35% to 78% when I activate front bar. the only thing I know of is Mage Light at 2191 which I thought was around 10% and thats about what I see in-game. Like a World Boss (talk) 13:22, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Can you link the build that shows this. It doesn't seem to be Mage Light but it could be something else that is incorrectly double/triple counted. -- Daveh (talk) 18:41, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
(http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=64468) I just noticed the help tab comment about not handling leveling so that could be affecting it, its not a CP160 char and I noticed my penetration is showing all zeros then 100% total too. As for the crit chance, in raw data it shows the values the popup does, which adds to 52.5%...
12.9%: Innate Axiom set bonus #4 (Set.SpellCrit)
4.5%: Assassin's Guile set bonus #2 (Set.SpellCrit)
35.1%: Major Prophecy buff from Magelight skill (Buff.SpellCrit)
...but the dialog from the stats shows a total of the same values adding up to 62.5% (which is what char sheet shows now instead of 78% mentioned above). Based some calculations I found for 100% crit (assuming it didn't change recently) 52% may be correct so the 62.5% is 10% too high from someplace. Odd b/c thats still at least 8% higher than reported by the game, but I don't know whether they include the slotted magelight on that screen or just character and gear which is around 10% I think. Like a World Boss (talk) 20:12, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Not being max-level is probably the source of the discrepancy. We haven't implemented the level scaling from One Tamriel yet so builds that are not max level will show the old lower level stats. The Spell/Weapon crit stat scales strangely with level and is most likely wrong for the Inner Light buff (unsure how this works with lower levels but probably scales somehow). With how level scaling works now you'd probably get better results in the build by using level 50/CP160 along with the same level gear which would greatly reduce the crit error among other things and simulate what a level 26 would be scaled up to...not exactly but close enough most likely. -- Daveh (talk) 14:59, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

[Suggestion] Add 'Effective Attack' to front page graphic

Suggestion: Add the Effective Attack, both Spell and Weapon, to the front page graphic of the build.

I'm guessing you're trying to be close to the game's graphic on the info page, but some crucial information is missing from that page, especially for console players. A simple redesign with extra info would be fantastic.

Info I'd like to see in decreasing order of importance:

  • Weapon/Spell Effective Attack, for build comparison. At the moment, you need to go into edit mode to get it.
  • Penetration. Missing from consoles.
  • Critical numbers: chance and damage. Helps with comparing Mundus Stones, etc.

I'm sure there are others, but that's enough to greatly improve the utility of this service. This page is extremely useful to me and, I'm sure, to all console users who now make up the majority. Thanks.

Infernal Guardian monster set bug

Repro:

1. Using Safari on Mac

2. Go to Items tab

3. Try to change anything, for example: scroll to Equip Monster Set near the bottom of the page; choose any settings, e.g. Ilambris, heavy head w/ infused, medium shoulders w/ divines, epic quality; click Change

Expected Behavior: Head/shoulders changed accordingly.

Actual Behavior: Updating 2 items to monster set Ilambris... No Ilambris set with armor type 3 found! No Ilambris set with armor type 2 found!

I am using Safari Version 12.0.2 (14606.3.4) on Mac OS Mojave version 10.14.2. This is a brand new laptop, so there should be no problem with a cached copy, but I have tried to force reload the cache anyway (Cmd+Option+R), but no change in behavior.

Workaround: There is no issue using Firefox or Chrome on the same machine.

The Searing Heat passive should be working (if not let me know in which cases). The World in Ruin passive is a little more complicated to apply and is currently not working but I'll see if I can figure out a good way of implementing it soon. -- Daveh (talk) 21:27, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
This should now be fixed if you reload the page. If you notice anything which doesn't match in-game values let me know! -- Daveh (talk) 20:42, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
