After Jarl Morryn informs Rigurt the Brash that the talks are postponed due to Thane Svyne and Thane Hraldi both refusing to attend if the other does, Rigurt will decide that it is up to him and his trusty aide to end the feud between them.

When you arrive at Svyne's camp, Rigurt will already be talking with the Thane:

Thane Svyne: "Sod off, iceheel. I'd let a giant bed me before I sat at a table with Thane Hraldi."
Rigurt the Brash: "Ha! That happened to Rigurt once! Friend, perhaps you can talk to the thane?"

Talk with Thane Svyne to see what his problem is. Naturally, he will insult you a lot:

"Orkey's gullet, the Skald-King's got some persistent sods working for him! If you're here to ask me to meet with Jarl Morryn and that milk drinker Hraldi, then kindly clear off!
Thane Hraldi's such a horker, he almost ruins my appetite. Almost."
Can't the two of you put your feud aside?
"Kyne's breath, I'm about to keel over from hunger and that's all you can think to ask me? I am a thane of Western Skyrim, not some mollycoddled poet from Jorunn's boudoir!
Now begone. Waiting for the feast is hard enough without pointless talk."
The feast?
"Every time I've been invited to Jarl Morryn's cabin, she's prepared a traditional feast for me! This time, I fasted all week just to prepare. But I didn't expect that snowback Hraldi to show up.
I must have been born under a bad star."
Then why not eat something?
"I swore that the next meal I ate would be a Nordic feast. And I keep my oaths, damn it!
Besides, my sodding vassals left our provisions back home."
Why not just leave?
"Pah! Thane Hraldi knows I'm here. I'm not going to give that steely-eyed blighter the satisfaction of knowing I was the first to quit!"

After hearing this, Rigurt will decide to cook a Nordic feast for the Thane instead. He will then send you out to collect ingredients. If you talk to Svyne afterwards, he'll be curious to see if Rigurt can back up his claim:

"Maybe I misheard over the roiling of my belly. Did that oaf say he was going to make a meal worthy of my tastes?
If he wants to try and face my palette, so be it!"
Are you really going to eat what Rigurt prepares for you?
"Do I look like the kind of Nord that would indiscriminately shovel anything down my gullet? I was holding out for an exceptional meal before, and that hasn't changed.
If this Rigurt character can't make something worthwhile, the pigs get it."

Once you have procured the boar and the howlwater, you can return to the camp where Rigurt and Svyne are waiting. If you talk to Svyne before Rigurt he will be skeptical:

"If this lout thinks he can win me over with a simple roast boar, then he's going to be sorely disappointed.
Though, it does smell good."

You will have to help Rigurt cook the boar by following his instructions. If you try to talk to Thane Svyne at this point, he will suggest you get back to cooking:

"Are you sure you have time to talk to me? Shouldn't you be cooking with the frostheel?"

When the boar is cooked, the smell is apparently wonderful:

Thane Svyne: "Shor's bullocks, man, do you mean to drive me mad with that scent?"
Rigurt the Brash: "Thane Svyne! Rigurt prepared an exquisite dish to cure your grumpiness!"
<Rigurt hands him a plate and Svyne begins eating.>
Thane Svyne: "This — this is sodding wonderful! But there's a taste I can't place?"
Rigurt the Brash: "That's Rigurt's secretest ingredient: powdered hagraven squeezings!"
<Thane Svyne freezes and stops eating, his hands go to his knees.>
Thane Svyne: "Oh … oh no."

Talk with Svyne to see how he liked it. Other than the ingredients, Svyne enjoyed the flavor but now wishes he didn't:

"Damn you and that idiot! Feeding me powdered hagraven squeezings … are you trying to kill me?
And yet, by the Gods, that taste, the aroma! I can't get it out of my mind. It's haunting!"
So you like it?
"I cannot lie, I do. But no one can know! Hagravens are filthy, revolting beasts. If anyone hears that I've eaten one, my title will be revoked! I'll be the shame of Western Skyrim!
How can something so vile taste so good?"
Are you willing to put your feud aside and meet with Thane Hraldi and Jarl Morryn?
"Damn you. Both of you. Fine, I'll forget the feud with Hraldi and go to this meeting. But I have two conditions! First, you can tell no one about what I ate here today.
Second, whatever seasoning's left over is mine."
Agreed. I'll tell Jarl Morryn to expect you and Thane Hraldi.
"Yes, yes, I'll be there. Just, by the Gods, give me a bit to collect myself."
Agreed. I'll make sure Thane Hraldi attends the meeting as well.
"Make sure Hraldi gets his arse in that lodge. I'll pull myself together in the meantime."

Both replies will lead to the same question.

Are you well enough to attend the meeting?
"Of course I am! I just need a moment to reflect.
After tasting that meal … I don't think I'll ever be the same again."

Afterwards you can either deal with Thane Hraldi if you haven't done so or head to Jarl Morryn to tell her the news if you have gotten both Thanes to attend. When you arrive you will find Jarl Morryn is already several bottles into a bender and you get to tell her that the Thanes are coming for the negotiations. Once you have told her, they will arrive on time.

If you talk to Svyne, he'll have a frank assessment of Morryn's cabin:

"Huh. This reminds me of my home."

Once you have spoken with Rigurt and completed the quest, the Thanes will immediately begin to snipe at each other:

Thane Hraldi: "Thane Svyne, don't think my being here means I've forgotten the New Life festival."
Thane Svyne: "Will someone thank Thane Hraldi for facing away from me, so I don't have to look at his pissing beard?"
<Svyne notices the bottles.>
Thane Svyne: "Look at all these bottles. Did you start without us, Jarl Morryn?"
Jarl Morryn: "Well, I actually, hm."
Thane Svyne: "Ha! My kind of diplomacy! Speaking of, we've got some talking to do, don't we?"
Thane Hraldi: "Yes. I must second my corpulent peer's point. Let's discuss this treaty of yours."
Rigurt the Brash: "Of course! Right away, your thane-inesses!"

Afterwards you can ask what he thinks can be accomplished with these talks:

"I've been to a few diplomatic talks in my time. Bores, the lot of them.
But after everything you and that frostheel pulled today … this one seems worth my time."
What do you think will happen at these talks?
"Who can say? Western and Eastern Skyrim split on bad terms. No point trying to put gravy on that pig. But while the East has prospered, we … well. Life's not bad. Could be better. Jarl Morryn and Rigurt will tell us how much better it might be."
