Shagrath's Shield is awarded for defeating Maarselok on his perches without any of Shagrath's Host dying in Veteran Lair of Maarselok.
Shagrath's Hosts are green spectral spiders summoned by Selene. They are targeted by Azureblight Stranglers that spawn under Maarselok's perch, so to earn the achievement, the stranglers must be kept distracted (dealing any damage to them will do) and disposed of as soon as possible, for the whole fight. As the area that stranglers spawn in is relatively small, it is advised to use area of effect skills, and bring all other spawns (skeletal animals and lurchers) there as well.
