The Elder Scrolls Online v6.0.2 introduces the Summerset Celebration for testing this week, in addition to fixes and adjustments to Kyne’s Aegis, the Antiquities system, and item sets. We’ve also made several fixes that should aid in performance and overall stability. This patch includes a character copy of all PC EU characters, and is approximately 458MB in size.

New Features / Updates / Big ChangesEdit

Summerset Celebration EventEdit

Return to the Summerset Isles this week on the PTS! Earn bonus rewards by completing daily quests in Summerset, exploring the zone, or battling powerful monsters.

  • Each daily quest you complete in Summerset, as well as completing the weekly Cloudrest quest, earns you a Summerset Coffer which contains crafting materials, style items, overland set pieces, flavored salable items, and chances at valuable Summerset motif and outfit style pages!
    • In addition, the very first of these quests that you complete each day (per account) instead awards a Glorious Summerset Coffer (which is even more bountiful than the normal coffer), along with 3 Event Tickets.
  • Continuing to explore Summerset after your daily quests are done is encouraged! Additional non-Glorious Summerset Coffers have a good chance to drop from Delve Bosses, World Bosses, and Geysers; a lesser chance to drop from Safeboxes, Thieves Troves, Treasure Chests, and Psijic Portals (but only the ones in Summerset) and a tiny chance to drop from crafting nodes, regular monsters, or random lootable containers such as barrels, crates, and sacks.
  • All coffers have a chance to drop a style page for this event’s new outfit style, the Snowhawk Mage.
  • Furthermore, the Cloudrest weekly quest grants two of its normal reward boxes instead of one, and defeating the Trial in hard-mode grants you two Crests of the Welkynar instead of one.
  • If that wasn’t enough, during the celebration all Summerset resource nodes, creature crafting drop, daily quest reward boxes, and Psijic portal loot are doubled, and World/Delve bosses give you two draws from their usual loot tables!

New MotifEdit

Pyre Watch Motif chapters, as well as the associated style item Consecrated Myrrh, are now available to test and will occasionally drop from bosses in the Unhallowed Grave dungeon.

Template UpdatesEdit

  • Corrected errors in the tooltips for the containers for the sets found in Kyne’s Aegis.
  • Adjusted the traits on items in several PTS template set containers to be consistent with similar containers.
  • Removed mercenary contracts from the Endless Sack of Siege container.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Master Weapons, Perfected” container contained non-perfected weapons.

  • Fixed an issue that, in some cases, could prevent you from having a chance to earn New Moon Priest Motif chapters when opening the Dragonguard supply chest.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the Dragonguard supply chest inadvertently giving a guaranteed motif chapter with every interaction. Note the updated rate is still significantly higher than most other motif sources.

Kyne’s Aegis Trial

  • General
    • Sanguine Prison now has visual effects in first person mode.
    • Achievements now use the correct icons.
    • The Lightning Leaper achievement is now properly awarded when requirements are met.
    • Vampire Frostmages, Soldiers, and Assassins now correctly award Ultimate to players who have the passive ability Banish the Wicked.
  • Yandir the Butcher
    • Increased the duration of Hailstone Shield.
    • Hailstone Burst can no longer be blocked or dodged.
    • Gryphons and Sea Adders that get close to Tandir the Butcher now receive a stacking enrage buff which will increase their damage the longer they stay near the boss.
    • Gryphons and Sea Adders summoned by Yandir are now immune to the Hard Mode enrage for a brief time after being summoned.
  • Captain Vrol
    • Interacting with the non-Hard Mode exclusive Ballista Parts before activating Hard Mode no longer allows them to be used during Hard Mode.
    • Made the following changes to Sharpened Conduit:
      • Takes longer to explode.
      • Has increased health.
      • Is used less frequently.
      • Is less random with its targeting.
      • Has an “arming” time so that it can be damaged before it starts doing damage.
      • Can no longer be dodged or blocked.
  • Lord Falgravn
    • Grievous Pulse no longer fails to apply Damage Reduction to Lord Falgravn during its channel.
    • Poisoned and Bleeding effects no longer persist after Lord Falgravn has been defeated.
    • Lord Falgravn now correctly awards points on death.
    • Falgravn will no longer immediately use Ground Smash when his primary target dies.
    • Reduced the damage increase of Grievous Pulse in Normal and Veteran (but not Hard Mode).
    • Unstable Energy can no longer be blocked and can no longer be outranged while within the Ritual Pit.
    • Unstable Energy’s damage increase will now ramp more consistently.
    • Fixed an animation issue with Lieutenant Njordal’s Uppercut ability.
    • Lieutenant Njordal can no longer cast Vampiric Grip immediately after ending Frenzied Cleave.
    • Instability can no longer be enhanced by Enrage in the Hidden Barrow.
    • Reduced the health of the torturers in the Ritual Vault.
    • Torturers no longer end their sacrifice animation when attacked by players.
    • Coagulants no longer face the wrong direction when spawning into the encounter.
    • Reduced the amount Lord Falgravn heals from Apotheosis which can also no longer be reduced by Major and Minor Defile.
    • Made the follow changes to Apotheosis boons:
      • Aevar's Ferocity: Increased the duration.
      • Skormgondar's Savagery: Increased the duration.
      • Sislea's Defense: Increased the duration.
      • Thjorlak's Haste: Increased the duration and the frequency at which you gain Ultimate.
      • Brekalda's Protection: This effect is now visualized on your character’s health bar.

Exploration & Itemization


  • Chaurus eggs throughout the zone can now be targeted by ranged abilities (if they are capable of spawning Chaurus).
  • Fixed an issue where some critters in Western Skyrim were not dropping the loot that was intended.


  • If you discover Blackreach through the Silversnow Mine Entrance, you will now receive credit for the Achievement and all future requirements.


  • Fixed an issue where the Indeko Rune was not properly dropping as bonus loot during Antiquity excavations; it was being replaced with the Fang of the Lamia Queen at an improper quality.
  • Adjusted many Antiquity excavation locations to be in safer areas or to fix various visual issues.
  • Fixed a number of missing icons.
  • The Antiquities Journal will now properly display the icons for the Aldmeri Symphonium, Malacath's Band of Brutality, Ring of the Wild Hunt, and the Torc of Tonal Constancy.
  • Fixed an issue where many high-end Furnishings found via the Antiquities system were not properly bound to you. They are now all Bind on Pickup, as intended.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the dig site for Gabrielle’s Bottle in the Antiquities tutorial to not appear.
  • Fixed an issue where the name of the Ebon Dwarven Wolf mount was incorrectly displayed in the Antiquities Journal as "Dwarven Ebon Wolf".
  • Fixed an issue that could cause multiple Antiquity Leads to drop at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where the Insight bar was in the middle of the Excavation screen. It's now tucked off to the right-hand side, no longer obstructing your archaeological view.
  • Fixed an issue where the Antiquarian's Eye was not properly appearing when you began Scrying.
  • Made additional adjustments to the Scrying game visuals.
  • You selected Antiquity will now update appropriately when backing out of the Antiquities category list in your Journal.

  • Added a keybind to the Scryable category when viewing an Antiquity in its zone category if the Antiquity is currently Scryable.

  • Fixed an issue where you could not click on the Continue keybind shown on the map after animating in dig sites, and fixed an issue where that keybind text could be all caps.

  • Redesigned the layout of the keyboard version of the Antiquity Codex view.



  • The front of Bastion Sanguinaris is now visible!
  • The map icons for the new homes now appear as expected.
  • Added a fireplace to the first floor of Proudspire Manor.
  • Fixed an issue where the female version of the Blood Scion transformation was wearing off too early inside Bastion Sanguinaris.


  • Updated the visual effects and lights for many of the new furnishings.
  • Added sound effects to several new furnishings that were previously missing them, or which were using placeholder sounds.
  • Added the Rakeipa (Fire) runestone to several Greymoor furnishing plans, where thematically appropriate.

Monsters & NPCs


  • Added boss bars to the champions and boss of the Public Dungeons, distinguishing them from other monsters.
  • Lady Essenia, the vampire boss at the end of the Greymoor Keep Objective Quest, now has a boss bar.


  • General
    • Harrowstorm monsters no longer pursue you beyond an acceptable range before returning to their original locations.
  • Chaurus Reaper
    • Chaurus will no longer use Undulating Charge at close ranges, and if it attempts to target an unreachable target, the ability will go on cooldown.
    • Undulating Charge no longer applies the snare visual effects to players, since it doesn't actually snare them.
    • Slightly reduced Reaching Snap's range.
  • Frost Archer
    • Frost Spray's snare can now be avoided when dodge rolling.
  • Vampire Lord
    • The Vampiric Grip ability will no longer ignore CC immunity. If the Vampire Lord targets a CC immune player, it will reappear nearby after a brief delay.


  • More friendly characters throughout the zone have appropriate responses when you interact with them.
  • Friendly characters who react to Justice violations no longer despawn in place, but run away appropriately.

Quests & Zones


  • Fixed various text and voice mismatches throughout the zone.
  • The various Great Lifts throughout Skyrim and Blackreach now have consistent names.
  • You can now respawn in the Morthal Barrow if your character dies there, and others can travel to friends using the Graveyard in the barrow.
  • Fully-grown Witch Pikes no longer rotate to “face” their attackers.


  • Danger in the Holds: Players who need to destroy the Witch Pike in the Morthal Barrow will now receive credit for doing so, even if they arrive as the Pike is being destroyed by other players. If they arrive too late, the Pike event will start up again quickly.
  • The Gray Host:
    • Fixed an issue where you could trigger a theater scene endlessly during this quest.
    • You can now talk with Princess Svana even when hiding.
    • You can no longer cause other characters to disappear simply by moving to different parts of the room during the fight with Exarch Ulfra.
    • Quest pins leading you through the Netherroot Grove are now more accurate.



  • Updated many icons for quest items and achievements with their final art.
  • Fixed a UI error that could occur when navigating the Antiquities Codex with the triggers.

Gamepad Mode

  • Fixed an issue where an Antiquity tooltip could appear on the HUD.


Exploration & Itemization


  • Fixed an issue where the Pyre Watch and Icereach Coven motif achievements were incorrectly categorized under Greymoor > General. They are now correctly sorted under Harrowstorm > General.


Quests & Zones


  • Slaughterfish in Evergloam no longer allow revival outside of a Wayshrine or graveyard.

Combat & AbilitiesEdit


  • Shadow
    • Veiled Strike: This ability and its morphs now stun and set targets Off Balance when used from the flank of an enemy, rather than when you are stealthed or invisible. This change was done to offset the loss of the ability to activate this portion of the attack with the recent fixes to Heavy Attacks properly breaking invisibility.


  • Psijic Order
    • Acceleration
      • Channeled Acceleration (morph): Fixed an issue with the timing of the visual effects of this ability when used with a Two Handed weapon.


  • Werewolf
    • Werewolf Transformation: Fixed an issue where other players in Werewolf form could appear to use emotes while opening menus.
      • Pack Leader (morph): Fixed an issue where the Minor Courage from this morph did not appear on your character sheet, and could sometimes stack with other sources.

Itemization & Item SetsEdit

Item sets

  • Bloodlord’s Embrace: This set now grants 1535 Magicka when it procs, up from 685. This will allow the set to be much stronger for targets who do not block frequently, while still ensuring it grants a sizable return for those who block off the 250ms cost cooldown.
  • Malacath’s Band of Brutality: This set no longer allows Arterial Burst to Critically Strike.
  • Merciless Charge: This set now continuously activates from Stampede through bar swap.
  • Spectral Cloak: This set now persists its refresh capabilities while bar swapping. Due to the large amount of effective power this allows you to keep up potentially indefinitely, we will closely monitor how this effects the total power engagement and will address it accordingly.
  • Sthun’s Favor: This set now grants 5312 Physical and Spell Penetration for 10 seconds when you damage an Off Balance enemy, rather than passively granting 11,130 of each versus Off Balance targets. This allows the set to be reined in much tighter in power by not being bound to the Off Balance cooldown since it can refresh at any time you meet the conditions, similarly to Armor of Truth.
  • Thrassian Stranglers:
    • This set now decreases your healing taken and effectiveness of damage shields by 2% per stack as well to increase the risk of constantly staying at high stacks.
      • Please note the set still has the opt-out mechanic of activating crouch or invisibility to immediately remove your stacks to remove these dangerous debuffs in a moment where your character might otherwise die.
    • Added additional layers of security to this set to prevent gaining additional bonuses if you somehow bypassed the 20 stack cap.
  • Vrol’s Command and Perfected Vrol’s Command: These sets now affect up to 12 targets, up from 6.
  • Winter’s Respite: This set now properly functions with Necromancer tethers.
  • Zaan’s: Fixed an issue if this set procced Burning, the damage increase would also apply to the status effect.

  • The Battlespirit tooltip now correctly states you have 60% healing reduction instead of 50% while in Imperial City.
  • Volendrung's protective Shield will now properly fade away in all cases when it should.

  • Capture the Flag in Eld Angvar will now properly be in the solo queue rotation for level 10-49 players.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when a graphical effect's target object goes missing.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to reflected projectiles.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when logging out after getting in game, selecting ‘Back’ at Character Select, or clicking ‘X’ on the client window to close the game.
  • Made several fixes affecting non-combat pets:
    • Fixed an issue where non-combat pets would use the wrong texture size, increasing memory usage.
    • Fixed an issue with visual effects on non-combat pets sometimes not appearing when another player would come into view.

  • Fixed an issue where the difficulty selected in the group menu could be incorrect after using the Dungeon Finder.
