Released on October 15 2019.

The Elder Scrolls Online v5.2.4 is our final PTS patch before Dragonhold and Update 24 go live on PC/Mac on October 21. This week, we've enabled the Witches Festival for additional testing; note that we haven't made any changes since the last time this event was on the PTS. We've made a few additional changes to combat abilities, and have more fixes for some Dragonhold quests. Additionally, we've done a character copy for all PC/Mac North American characters. The size of this patch is approximately 285MB. Thanks for all your feedback!

Dragonhold Fixes & ImprovementsEdit

Combat & GameplayEdit

Monsters

  • Fixed an issue where Dragons would slide on the ground when out of combat.

Monster Abilities

  • Swashbucklers no longer break their spines when they backflip away from you.

Exploration & ItemizationEdit

Achievements

  • Reduced the rescues required for the "Liberator of the Lost" achievement to 25 from 50.
  • Clarified the description of the "Dragonguard Style Master" achievement to correctly describe how to earn the Dragonguard motif.
  • Removed the achievement "A New Dragonguard" as it was redundant with the "Call To Arms" achievement line.
  • Updated the "Draconic Minion Slayer" achievement to include Frost and Storm Atronach minions, and fixed some instances where minions would not properly give credit for the achievement.
  • Updated the descriptions of the achievements in the "Call to Arms" achievement line to indicate that they count all Dragonguard quests in Southern Elsweyr instead of only daily quests.

  • Improved the names on a number of doors in Potentate's Retreat and Lucky Cat Landing.
  • Corrected several minor visual issues in Potentate's Retreat and Lucky Cat Landing.

  • Mouse-over blobs for Senchal and Tideholm are now visible.

Dailies

  • Fixed an issue where the dragon hunt dailies were not counting towards rebuilding the Dragonguard Sanctum.

Quests

  • An End to Myth: Khunzar-ri's eyebrows no longer wiggle suggestively to the player in conversation.
  • Order of the New Moon:
    • Added a proper animation for Shirnama to give you the pendant.
    • Fixed an issue where archway barrier visual effects were not appearing when they should.
    • There is now be proper compass and map pins on the quest step "Listen to Ranza".
    • Fixed an issue where a Go To Waypoint step was not advancing for group members when it should.
    • Rotated a barrier effect so that it now properly covers a door.
  • Ri'Atarashi's Training Ground:
    • Ri'Atahrashi and his students will no longer always face south when aggroed out of their Kata.
    • Ri'Atahrashi's animation issues are no longer be present when using Elemental Cross.
  • The Dragonguard:
    • A line from Sai Sahan will no longer go unheard when he first follows you into Doomstone Caverns
    • Laatvulon no longer talks after he is dead.
    • Nahfahlaar will no longer stutter while walking.
  • Uneasy Alliance:
    • Fixed an issue where Zaji would interrupt his mother.
    • Fixed an issue where Aeliah interrupted Nahfahlaar. Y'all are just rude in this quest, ain'tcha?
    • Fixed an issue where you could advance a quest step without actually entering the temple grounds.
    • Fixed an issue where finding the key did not share to group members.
    • Fixed an issue where Aeliah had an inactive talk-to prompt during the step to defeat Yahgrondu, which could cause her animations to be interrupted.

Furnishings

  • The "Replica Rithana-di-Renada" collectible furnishing can now be toggled on and off, if for some reason you don't want to listen to ancient Khajiit chants 24/7.
  • Improved the appearance of the smaller branches in the "Tree, Anequine Acacia Arching" furnishing.

Homes

  • Corrected a minor mismatch in the interaction prompt on either side of the portals in the Hall of the Lunar Champion.

Blackrose Prison

  • Derelict Prison Yard
    • Increased the health from Imperial Dread Knights.
  • Hall of Beasts
    • Increased the cast time for the Crocodile's Sweep ability, making it easier to avoid.
    • Increased the cast time for the Crocodile's Crushing Chomp ability, and added a blockable telegraph to better indicate intended gameplay.
    • Decreased the total damage from Spider's Venomous Spit ability with each stack, and reduced the maximum amount of stacks.
  • Vampire's Pen
    • Infusers can now be moved with movement abilities and stunned as normal monsters.
  • Mess Hall of Misery
    • All changes above apply to monsters summoned in this arena as well.

GeneralEdit
  • Fixed numerous issues where passives pertaining to sprint speed or cost would not update properly when meeting or failing their conditions without relogging or rezoning.
  • Fixed an issue where you could retain the initial boost of speed granted from activating sprint.
  • Fixed an issue where you could sprint as a ghost after resurrecting with Soul Gem under very specific circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where a damage type's status effect of damage caused to targets would fail to apply if they had a Damage Shield active.
DragonknightEdit
  • Ardent Flame
    • Searing Strike
      • Venomous Claw (morph): Increased the ramping bonus damage per tick of this morph to 17/18/19/20%, up from 9/10/11/12%.
  • Earthen Heart
    • Stonefist: Updated the visual effects for this ability and the Stone Giant morph. As noted in last week's PTS patch, we will continue working on this ability's visual and gameplay elements for a future update.
NightbladeEdit
  • Assassination
    • Teleport Strike: Updated the duration of the Minor Vulnerability for this ability to 10 seconds, to match its morph's duration.
      • Known Issue: The Ambush ability is currently still displaying as 8 seconds, and will be fixed in a future patch.
    • Grim Focus:
      • Increased the base duration of this ability and its morphs to 40 seconds, up from 20 seconds.
      • Removed the minimum travel time of the bow proc from these abilities since they are slower than other projectiles, such as Crystal Fragments or Snipe.
        • Relentless Focus (morph): This morph now lasts 60 seconds at Rank IV instead of 30 seconds.
  • Shadow
    • Path of Darkness
      • Twisting Path (morph): This morph once again uses the same scaling coefficient as the other morph, Refreshing Path. This will result in approximately 132% damage increase from the previous PTS patch.

Consumables

  • Fixed an issue where poisons could not be consumed under circumstances, despite properly activating on a target.
  • Fixed an issue where poison's secondary and tertiary traits would fail to apply if procced from a ranged attack.

Item Sets

  • Sentinel of Rkugamz: Reduced the amount of Stamina restored from this set to 115 per second, down from 500. This set now also returns Magicka per tick.

MiscellaneousEdit

General

  • Added a 30 second wait time between logins from the same account to fix a variety of data corruption issues that could affect characters. If you try to log into the same account within the 30 second window, you will receive an error message stating the account is already in use.
    • Note: This will not have any impact on swapping characters.

Quests & ZonesEdit

New Life Festival

  • Fixed an issue where quest assists would sometimes point you towards doors that didn't exist in Stormhaven, Eastmarch, and Alik'r Desert.

UIEdit

General

  • Fixed an issue in the Crown Store where keybind text could overlap.

Gamepad Mode

  • Fixed an issue where quests with multiple currency rewards would overlap the item rewards.
  • The touchpad will now open the map when using a PS4 controller on the Mac game client.

Guilds & Guild Functionality

  • An alert will now display when you are promoted or demoted in a guild.
  • Fixed an issue where declined/revoked guild invites would display an alert saying the player left the guild.
