Mercenaries are Bretons found following other players around in certain areas of the Summerset Chapter. They take the place of Darien Gautier to ensure you don't see multiple copies of the same person. Like Darien, they use special Meridian skills when attacking.
They can be encountered within the Cathedral of Webs during the quest A Necessary Alliance.
