Kerbol's Hollow

Kerbol's Hollow is a small town in northeastern Bangkorai, east of the Silaseli Ruins. Kerbol's Hollow is the subject of legends: its mayor is said to be able to cure any disease. Renoit Leonciele has come here with his ailing husband, Draven, in light of these rumors.

Chickens and white goats are the village's primary livestock. The containers and provisioning ingredients all throughout the village are not owned, and can be looted without consequence.

LayoutEdit

A camp full of sick Peasants lies along the side of the road west of Kerbol's Hollow. At the camp, there is a horse beside a cart. A chest can spawn between that cart and the adjacent tent. Inside one of the tents is a copy of Field Guide to Spriggans. A friendly wolf is in the cave leading to the village at the beginning of the related quest. There is a spriggan behind the large tree located northeast of the cave's exit, just inside the confines of the hollow. There is a total of seven dogs inside the village, not counting the one in the peasant's encampment.

After you exit the cave, you'll go down an incline and pass a gate, which Old Marienne stands in front of. When you enter town, you'll be dropped off right next to the town square. At the beginning of the related quest, a sizable group of Villagers will be waiting in the square for mayor Kerbol to speak with them. The well is the centerpiece of the square.

East of the well is the guest house. Five crows sit on the stone fence in front of the building. Further down on the eastern side of the street is the market, where Farelle Falbert and Korgha the town's merchant and grocer, peddle their wares. During the quest, a book titled The Book of Reason can be found on the merchant's stall. There is a horse on the other side of the stone fence at the market. Across the street from the guest house is the mayor's house. A dog loiters in the grass north of the house. The forge, which is inhabited by two dogs, is adjacent to the mayor's home. It is manned by Maul Cerone, who has no wares. The butcher's stall is next to the forge, and is handled by Androche Lanie. There's a lot of meat there, as well as a water sack. Themond's House lies on the western side of the street, past the forge. There are two chicken coops and a clothesline behind the house, as well as a dog.

The town hall is east of the town square, down the road between the guest house and the market. There are three dogs behind the town hall. A meadow lies behind the town hall and the guest house. There is a well in this meadow, which Pogmaan occasionally approaches to draw water from. A water sack is on the ground next to the well. Two hags are looming above the village, upon a cliff to the east of the meadow. A path to the southeast leads up the mountain. The entrance to the path is decorated with totems and skulls, as if in warning. A copy of Dwemer Inquiries Volume I hides behind a stone at the bottom of the path. More witch totems line the path, of which several camps are sat upon. A cooking fire lies a short ways up the path in one of these camps. There is a heavy sack at the highest of these camps, next to a warning totem wreathed in skulls which lights the camp in the dark of night. A spriggan lies along the ledge east of this camp, beneath the stone altar looming on the cliff above.

An iron gate west of the town square leads up to a hill full of prowling werewolves and their wolf companions. The stronger werewolves have grey pelts, and are usually not far from lesser wolves. The weaker werewolves with less health have black pelts, and can howl to empower themselves, allowing them to deal more damage. A cave at the top of the hill leads further up the mountain, where more wolves and werewolves reside. A copy of the lore book Dwemer Inquiries Volume I sits at the base of a large stone with a wolf standing atop it. A backpack and several loose pieces of generic medium armor surround the book. There is a stone altar at the edge of the cliff at the top of the mountain.

NotesEdit

  • After clearing the location, several of the villagers, the guard in the tunnel, and all the sick peasants in the camp outside the village are removed.
