Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker is the sociopathic incarnation of Captain Hostia, an Imperial member of the Blackguards and leader of one of their camps in Murkmire. After you and your allies attack the camp and rescue the prisoners, she is captured by Jaxsik-Orrn. If you decide to let her go free, she will become a sadistic serial killer, terrorizing Argonians across Murkmire. She is hiding out in the Singing Grotto. If you instead allow Jaxsik-Orrn to execute her, her daughter Julitta will become the Skin Taker.

As you enter the cave, she'll try to get you to abandon your quest with a series of pleas and taunts:
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker : "Did the mud-lizards send you to find me? You're meddling in things that don't concern you!"
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker : "I have no quarrel with you. Don't make yourself my enemy. Turn around."
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker : "I tried to offer you the same mercy you gave me! You should have taken it."
Once you begin battle, she'll say:
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker: "I'm going to hang your hide over Lilmoth!"
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker: "Why do you care for those savages? They're barely more than beasts!"
And finally, as she perishes:
- Hostia Asellus the Skin Taker: "Julitta …."
