Havocrel Duke of Storms is a Havocrel that serves as the final boss in the Atoll of Immolation public dungeon. He is encountered guarding the device in the Valley of the Cataclyst. Initially, he is found in a spectral form surrounded by a number of Daedra, all of which must be killed to bring him forth for combat.
Skills and AbilitiesEdit
Both while fighting the Daedra before the duke and while fighting the duke, red lightning strikes will appear in the arena at random locations, indicated by red circles, dealing moderate shock damage each.
- Spin Strike
- A basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.
- Bloodstream
- The duke smashes his hammer down on a target, dealing high physical damage.
- Meteoric Slam
- The duke performs a charged overhead strike with its hammer, dealing very high physical damage and knocking its target down.
- Meteor
- Follow-up to "Meteoric Slam", regardless of if it landed or missed. A meteor crashes down at the attacked target, indicated by a red circle, dealing high flame damage. The duke's version has an added effect of summoning an untargettable iron atronach that then conjures a large pool of lava at its location, dealing continuous moderate flame damage.
- Fiery Smash
- The duke leaps up into the air, like a warpriest, and crashes back down at a target's location, indicated by a large red circle, dealing high flame damage and stunning affected targets. Smaller flame swirls are then sent into different directions, indicated by red circles, dealing moderate flame damage and staggering targets.
- Rain Fire
- The duke twirls his weapon around before raising it up holding it in both hands, conjuring a spell that causes volleys of flaming projectiles to rain down in the arena, indicated by several large red circles, which deal continuous high flame daamge. This can be interrupted.
- Blazing Shield
- Occasinally during the fight, the duke melts into the ground and teleports to the center of the arena, knocking down nearby targets in the process. He will then become invulnerable with a reflective shield. Approaching the duke while he is shielded deals massive flame damage. During this, weak Fire Behemoths and Scamps will appear out of portals and begin walking towards the duke. If they reach the duke, they become empowered, greatly increasing their damage and defense. Destroy them to break the shield.
DialogueEdit
When you arrive through the Oblivion Gate and throughout your journey in the area, the Duke of Storms will taunt you:
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "You are outclassed and outmatched, mortal flea!"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "You dare challenge our Lord of Fire and Flood?"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "The very air of this realm will destroy you!"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "You dare invade the domain of Mehrunes Dagon?"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "The Deadlands are no place for a mortal flea."
Teleporting between islands, you will need to defeat the daedra and mini-bosses to progress. As you do he will continue to speak to you, sometimes frustrated, sometimes begrudgingly respectful: First portal:
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "You've done better than I expected."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "But you won't last much longer."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Impressive. For a sack of mortal meat."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Can your insignificance be more apparent?"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Bravery will get you far. But not far enough."
Second portal:
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "So close, yet ever so far."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "How can you stand against this onslaught?"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Why don't you just die already?"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Do you see that mountain of flame before you? It's about to consume you."
You eventually reach his tower and the machine he guards beneath it. You will need to defeat him to shut off the machine. The following is said during combat: Arriving at the Machine, he will appear as a humanoid shaped thing of fire, with rings of Daedra bowing to him:
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Mortals never cease to amaze me."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Still going? I'm almost impressed."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Oh, don't give up now. I want to crush you personally."
After destroying three waves of Daedra, the Duke of Storms will appear in the flesh:
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "The mortals! Take them down!
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "I will cut out your heart and eat it raw!
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Fall! Fall! You all will go down!
- Blazing shield
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Come on then, we fight!"
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Such small, weak cattle."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Try and run! Give it a try!"
- Burning field
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "Can you smell that? Weakness …."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "A warrior stands ready to fight for the Prince."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "First we take this region, then we march north."
- (?)
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "We were summoned to serve, and so we shall."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "I test all my weapons on banekin."
- Havocrel Duke of Storms: "My preference is when they scream."

NotesEdit
- He is the last boss of the Atoll of Immolation. His respawn timer is set around 5 minutes. He uses a modified version of the Waking Flame Motif for his chest piece.[1]

- ^ [ZOS_Kevin]. 2022, January 12. Hi @dragonlord500. We reached out to some devs to ask about the chest piece. It is a modified version of the Waking Flame Motif. So not exactly obtainable. However, they noted a few ways to get close. We have also made note of it for dev consideration in the future. I hope this helps.
* The Sai Sahan's Jack outfit style can get something close to that open chest look.
* The helm is obtainable as gear by completing The Cauldron on vet and the shoulder can be obtained as gear from Urgarlag Chief-bane Mystery Coffers in the Undaunted Enclaves.
