After arriving in Gideon to warn Councilor Vandacia of a threat to his life, you will learn that the Dark Brotherhood attack was thwarted and the would-be assassin imprisoned. When you go downstairs to the holding cell, you will find the assassin escaped, and you need to chase him down.
Following the acid trail outside, various citizens will point you in the right direction. You will come across Golven Llendu with an injured Legionnaire Veeska:
- Golven Llendu: "He attacked this legionnaire and ran into the ruins of the old city!"
