DialogueEdit

Giovanni Corvus will be asked by Corrudus Rallen about the job he took from Tumma-Maxath. Giovanni will end the conversation quickly when he sees you approaching.

Corrudus Rallen: "So? Did you finish your dangerous job for Tumma-Maxath?"
Giovanni Corvus: "Shh! There are guards around. We speak later, I'm late for my meeting with Darene."

If you are spotted when you follow him he may say:

Giovanni Corvus: "Be about your business, please."
Giovanni Corvus: "I'd be very grateful if you let me be."
Giovanni Corvus: "This is a completely normal stroll through the streets."

You ended up trailing Giovanni to the Chapel of Zenithar in Leyawiin, where he will be secretly meeting up with Darene Gavendier about the deal they took:

Giovanni Corvus: "Stealing from Nocturnal and working with Tumma-Maxath, it doesn't seem worth the risk."
Darene Gavendier: "The sickle we took from Nocturnal is just what that necromancer needs to complete his ritual in Bloodrun Cave, of course it's worth it."
Darene Gavendier: "Just stay here until we receive further instructions."

You can try to convince Giovanni to give up on his thieving ways when you speak to him:

"Who are you? What did you hear?"
[Persuade] Your friend Millona Bronlus thinks you're in danger. / [Persuade] She's worried you're going to get yourself killed.
"She's always been a worrier, even when we were kids.
Millona's probably right, I only have to think about our employer and I break out in a cold sweat. When I'm done with this job, I'm going to become a carpenter. Fewer terrifying clients."
Why are you working for Tumma-Maxath?
"Who told you that? Millona?
I won't apologize for what happened the last time I saw her and you can tell her that yourself."

Speaking to him after you persuaded him to give up on thieving:

"My mother can't fend for herself. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed with Darene. I need a job that's less likely to get me stabbed in an alleyway or locked up in the city jail."
