Detailed WalkthroughEdit

As you enter Geirmund's Hall, either Logod, Runehild, or Skald Jakaral will inform you of a set of trials that will begin imminently. If interested, you will be directed to speak to Thane Vofknir.

Climb the nearby hill to find the Thane, who will tell you about the set of tests one must complete: a tes of might, a test of wit, and a test of spirit. Vofknir tells you to seek out members of his household, as they will tell you your next steps.

I've heard about the challenge.
"Ah! I thought you had the look of a champion about you. To earn the title and represent Geirmund's Hall, you must pass three tests.
A test of might, a test of wit, and a test of spirit."
What do I do?
"Troll's blood, you are eager! Every year, members of my household proctor the tests. Seek them out, and they'll set you on the path."
Who do I speak to?
"Daljari holds the test of might. Iroda holds the test of wit, I think. And, yes, Widulf holds the test of spirit.
Good luck!"

The quest now splits into three parts, Trial of the Body, Trial of the Spirit, and the Trial of the Mind. Follow the quest markers to each quest-giver and complete their quests.

After completing each of the trials, return to Thane Vofknir. He will ask you to join him on his balcony.

"You've done it! Now, we name you to the crowd."
I'm ready.
"Now we celebrate.
Follow me to the balcony."

"Everyone!"

Follow him inside, up the stairs, and onto the balcony. He'll begin his speech.

"Everyone! Today we add a new name to the Guardian rolls. A champion, standing here beside me, will watch over the Rift. Let us cheer this victory!"

During his speech, a woman runs over while screaming. Worried, the Thane tells you to go and check on her.

"She looks hurt, champion. See to her."

She tells you that some of the skalds have become trapped in the nearby giant camp.

"What were we thinking?"
What's wrong?
"Jakaral. The skalds! They're trapped. Trapped in the giant camp!"

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
