Eliana Salvius is an Imperial guard for the Temple of Mara. The Temple was attacked by bandits and the guards tracked them back to the ruins of Fort Sphinxmoth. The guards were outmatched and captured Eliana and her fellow guards, Veranus Macatus and Decanus Vulso.
The Priestess of the Temple, Rafora Casca, is near the ruins looking for help to retrieve the items stolen by the bandits.

She can be found up chained up within the ruined fort, in a room blocked off by moving spike traps.
- "Did Marcella send you? Please! Get me out of here."
- What happened?
- "We entered the ruins to recover the stolen relics, but the bandits got the drop on us. Quick, break the lock on these chains. Get me out of here!"
- I'll get you out. Are any of the other guards still alive?
- "I … I think they got Talania. I saw her stabbed. Decanus and Veranus, though. I think they might still be alive, somewhere deeper in the complex."
- All right. You'll be free in a moment.
If you speak to her again before unlocking the chains, she will again ask for your help.
- "Please get me out of here. I'd … I'd be really grateful."
Once she is freed, she will walk over to a nearby wall and press one of the stones.
- Eliana Salvius: "I saw one of the bandits press a stone over here to deactivate the traps."
This will deactivate the nearby traps and she will thank you again while heading to the exit.
- Eliana Salvius: "Thanks again and be careful. Watch out for the traps!"
After you have rescued her fellow guards, you can meet her outside at their camp where they have all managed to escape successfully. Eliana will have been waiting for your return.
- "We were waiting to make sure you made it out. I'm glad to see you safe and sound."
- Yes. I see you and the others made it out all right as well.
- "We did. And we truly cannot thank you enough. Without your help, none of us would have escaped that horrible place."
After completing the quest:
- "We're going to camp here until everyone is rested, and then we'll return to Bravil and the chapel."
