After activating, your Weapon and Spell Damage is increased by 300 for [14 / 16 / 18 / 20] seconds.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: Arm yourself with Meridia's sacred sword and dispense her retribution, dealing [9529 / 9634 / 9739 / 9844] Physical Damage to enemies in front of you, an additional [11433 / 11560 / 11687 / 11809] Physical Damage over 6 seconds, and stunning them for 2 seconds.
Dawnbreaker is the Fighters Guild Ultimate ability, unlocked at the final rank of the skill line. Activating it causes instant AoE damage in front of you. Despite the skill's relatively low damage, the small Ultimate cost allows for it to be used frequently. The Dawnbreaker of Smiting morph increases the skill's damage, and also knocks down any enemies that get caught in the blast. Though it does less damage itself, the Flawless Dawnbreaker morph provides a temporary increase to Weapon Damage and Spell Damage after being activated, making other abilities more potent for a little while.
Outfit StyleEdit
- A Dawnbreaker artifact outfit style is available to purchase in the Crown Store every January (Morning Star), as it coincides with the month that Meridia's Summoning Day falls on.

Patch NotesEdit
- Slightly decreased the damage that this ability's higher ranks were doing.
- Reduced the cost of Dawnbreaker at all ranks and morphs to 100 Ultimate.
- Dawnbreaker now also deals damage over time.
- Removed the cast time from this ability, and can no longer be interrupted.
- This ability and its morphs will now consistently wait one second before the damage over time effect is applied. Note that the amount of damage applied, and the duration of the damage over time, will remain the same.
- This ability and its morphs will now be more responsive in combat.
- This ability and its morphs no longer deal bonus damage to Undead and Daedra, and now deals Physical Damage instead of Magic Damage.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: In addition to the changes made to the base ability, this morph also now knocks down any enemy hit instead of only Undead and Daedra. We also reduced the duration of the knock down to 2.5 seconds from 5 seconds.
- Flawless Dawnbreaker: In addition to the changes made to the base ability, we reduced the amount of Weapon Damage this morph increases while slotted to 2/3/4/5% at Ranks I/II/III/IV from 5/6/7/8%.
- Increased the cost of this ability and its morphs to 125 Ultimate from 100.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: Fixed an issue where this ability wasn't applying CC immunity to its targets.
- Fixed an issue where the damage from this ability and its morphs was being mitigated off the target's Spell Resistance instead of their Physical Resistance.
- This ability and its morphs can no longer be dodged.
- Increased the delay on the Damage over Time effect to 2 seconds from 1 second. Total duration is now 6 seconds, rather than 5 seconds.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: The stun from this ability no longer ranks up from 1.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds; instead, it is a flat 2 seconds at all ranks. This morph now progressively gets stronger in damage as it ranks up instead. This will result in a 5.7% initial hit damage increase, and a 9% Damage over Time portion increase.
- This ability and its morphs now all have a minor cast time to match their animation of slamming down the glorious Dawnbreaker. Canceling the Ultimate will not consume resources, and this cannot be bashed/interrupted from abilities.
- Increased the damage of the DoT by 1.1% per rank.
- This ability and its morphs no longer has the 6 person target cap, since its total area is smaller than other Ultimates, such as Dragon Leap or Permafrost.
- Flawless Dawnbreaker: This morph no longer passively increases your Weapon Damage by 5% for slotting. Instead, it grants you 300 Weapon Damage for 14 seconds, which ranks up to 20 seconds at Rank IV. This morph also no longer increases in damage by 1.1% per ranks.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: This morph will now properly gain its 20% damage increase, which will result in a ~1% damage loss.
- The following passives and player abilities now grant hybrid stats to help improve their viability and accessibility to off-meta builds, because we love them too:
- Agility: Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage.
- Balanced Warrior:
- Now grants 660/1320 Armor, rather than 1320/2640 Spell Resistance.
- Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage values.
- Brutal Carange's bonus: Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage values.
- Concentration: Now grants equal Offensive Penetration.
- Dexterity: Now increases Critical Damage and Healing Done per piece worn, up to 2% at the final rank, rather than Weapon Critical (as Prodigy now grants Weapon Critical as well)
- Flawless Dawnbreaker's bonus: Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage values.
- Prodigy: Now grants equal Critical Chance.
- Savage Strength: Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage values.
- Scaled Armor: Now grants 825/1650 Armor rather than 1320/3300 Spell Resistance.
- Slayer: Now grants equal Weapon and Spell Damage values.
