I returned to Dhalmora. All of the Bleakrock villagers are gone. Aera informed me of a large Covenant attack on Bal Foyen. Darj has lead [sic] some of the non-combatants to Fort Zeren. Captain Rana is leading a defense of the docks.

Quick WalkthroughEdit

  1. Talk to Aera Earth-Turner.
  2. Choose to either help Darj at the fort or Rana at the docks.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Aera Earth-Turner tells you the Covenant is attacking. Her daughter and Captain Rana are among those defending the docks, whereas Darj the Hunter is leading the defense at Fort Zeren. Once you finish speaking to Aera, you have the choice of going to the docks or the fort.

The DocksEdit

Talk to Eleven-Skips at the dock bridge to earn some gold and start the quest Breaking the Tide.

Choosing to help Captain Rana at the docks results in the following familiar Bleakrock people surviving: Rana, Sergeant Seyne, Trynhild Earth-Turner, Rolunda, Hoknir and Runs-in-Wild. Rana will consequently be promoted. However, Fort Zeren suffers heavy losses and most of the Bleakrock refugees that were there will die. Only Aera Earth-Turner survives, mourning the loss of her husband and son.

The FortEdit

Talk to Darj inside Fort Zeren Keep to earn some gold and start Zeren in Peril.

Choosing to help Darj at the fort means that the people at the docks, among them Rana and Trynhild will die, but the citizens of Davon's Watch will mourn their sacrifices. On the other hand, Darj, Molla, Denskar, Littrek, Eiman, Geilund and Halmaera, who were all at Fort Zeren, will survive.

Crossroads
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
I must decide whether to help Darj at the fort or Rana at the docks. Once I've made my choice, there won't be time to change my mind before the Covenant attacks.
Complete one: Help Rana at the Docks or Help Darj at the Fort
Finishes quest  I've made my choice. I'm going to help defend Fort Zeren with Darj the Hunter. I should speak with him. (If you choose to help out at Fort Zeren)
Objective: Talk to Darj the Hunter
Finishes quest  On my way to help Rana at the docks, I found a wounded Argonian named Eleven-Skips. I should speak with him. (If you choose to help out at the docks)
Objective: Talk to Eleven-Skips

  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
