He is very drunk, and very pleased that he's come to Markarth.
- "Look around at this place. Have you ever seen anything this grand? So many people all in the same place?
I should've come to see Markarth long before now!" - This is your first time in Markarth?
- "Aye, and I never want to leave. I come from the River-Elks—a clan of many tents, the other wilders say. But even so there are ten times as many people in Markarth.
Every day I see people I've never seen before. This is where I mean to stay." - What will you do here?
- "Prove myself to Ard Caddach and join his Stonehands. He said he'd give me an empty house for my own if I killed a nearby bandit and brought back his head.
Turns out someone else had killed him already. No head, no house." - That sounds unfair.
- "You know, I thought so myself. Made no difference to the ard. But, I'm not giving up. I'm sure Ard Caddach will think of someone else in need of killing tomorrow, and I'll get my chance.
For now, more cider!"
