Oblivion talk:Pumpkin (creature)

IS it possible since pumpkin is a member of the knights of the thorn that it was related with a scrapped quest perhaps even a knights of the thorn questline maybe?A Giant Fishy 08:43, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

Probably not. If he were a member of the Knights of the White Stallion, I'd say you might be onto something, since he is found near Leyawiin where those quests originate. But since he's found nowhere near Cheydinhal where the Knights of the Thorn live, I doubt there's any intentional connection. Of course, we'll never really know for sure, unless somebody from Bethesda gives us some clue about it, which is somewhat unlikely. He's far from the only entity who's mysteriously in an unusual faction with no noticeable relevance. I'd say the mistake explanation is the most plausible. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:27, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
Why are Pumpkin attacking me, when he is in Knights of the Thorn faction?
I thought it might be possible that the dog was supposed to be a pumpkin ingredient might explain the name location and bizarre membership error. Datacaust 05:18, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
No offense, but that i extremely unlikely given the way the CS works. And how would the dog supposed to be food make sense of the faction? --DKong27 Talk Cont 21:16, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
None taken, I've never used the CS. I thought if the dog was supposed to be a pumpkin no one would have checked the dog/pumpkins faction. Datacaust 14:44, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

IMHOEdit

I submit that it's an inside joke. Programmers were staying up late, programming, and at 2am, making a bandit dog into a member of a drinking club can indeed become funny. CameronB 22:47, 19 January 2009 (EST)

AddendumEdit

I think it should be mentioned on the main page that Pumpkin is hostile.(maybe it was because of the unsheathed weapon?)Corevette789 02:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

I highly doubt that he is agressive, since his agression is of only 15pts and he isn't part of any faction that would lower its disposition towards the player. Even with a weapon sheated it would be highly improbable for him to become hostile. --MC S'drassa T2M 03:06, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
After doing some testing, it seems like you need 50 personality for Pumpkin not to attack you, fame or infamy didn't seem to matter. Aezay 02:25, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Well the second I entered the tent with the boss chest, pumpkin became immediately hostile. Ive tried on 3 different profiles too. Corevette789 23:11, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Skyrim PumpkinEdit

A fox in Skyrim happens to share this dogs name. I see no relevance to either noting the other. "Pumpkin" is a fairly generic name for an animal, they aren't of the same species, and there are no relation between the two animals (location, owner, etcetera). It shouldn't be noted. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 00:56, 25 April 2013 (GMT)

I would also just like to point out that there is 200 years of difference between the two. Jeancey (talk) 01:39, 25 April 2013 (GMT)
