Not Wearing His ArmorEdit
I've checked his inventory and his armor's health is at zero. I tried repairing it and reverse-pickpocketing it but it's not weightless is there a way to get him to put the armor back on?
- I'm not sure, if you're using the PC I'm sure there's a solution (unfortunately I have the PS3 version and am not so savvy with the Console Commands). Alternately you could use a Permenant Bound Items glitch (found here Oblivion:Glitches) and then give them to him, it feels a bit cheap but it'll definitely help out! Essential CharacterEdit
The page says that he's essential until he joins the knights - does this mean that it's better (or safer for him in Berich's tomb, anyway) to deny his request for knighthood until after avenging Sir Roderic? Or is he no longer essential once he actually reports Roderic's demise?
- I'd say so. I've actually suffered his loss because I accepted his request prior to doing The Sword of The Crusader. Denying his request to join until after you've completed it will probably be the best idea if you want him to survive, he seems to be prone to dying when making his way towards Underpall Cave, either by woodland creatures or falling (depending on how you approach it)! I did accept him before going after the Sword of the Crusader. I simply told him to wait inside the KotN base. I found him safely seated in the chapel for the Blessing of Talos. --66.227.219.174 04:17, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Dialogue GlitchEdit
If you ask Lathon about "Knights of the Nine" after you have beaten Umaril, he will sometimes mess up the dialogue. Basically at the start there will be a 3 second pause before he starts talking and at the end there is an even longer pause, after which he says "Pelinal" and ends the conversation. Lathon disappears post-KotN?Edit
I went looking for Lathon at the Priory but couldn't find him anywhere. I tried to use the player.moveto to go wherever he was, but for some reason that took me to Garlas Malatar Ceysel with no Lathon to be seen. I tried resurrecting and enabling him (not that I had disabled him, I just wanted to make sure) but he wouldn't show up anywhere. I assumed he would live in the Priory with the other Knights post-quest but is it not so? Does anybody know why this is happening? I'm playing the Steam GotY version and I don't have any mods installed. Sauna (talk) 01:51, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- If anyone is still interested, I've experienced this, too, and found Lathon on horseback between the Priory and Garlas Malatar (used console commands to go to where he was). Seems that, somehow, he rides his own horse to go to places and that's not very fast so you outrun him if your speed and athletics are very high. — Unsigned comment by 76.93.91.225 (talk) at 07:18 on 23 October 2023 (UTC)
