Now you see it, now you don't

Make a permanent bound weapon, equip it, use the bound spell again and wait for it to wear off, check your inventory and you will see two bound daggers, unequip the permanent bound dagger and one of them will disappear.

training

is there any way to train infinitely many times per level? that would be THE sickest glitchP90 user 12:40, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Most likely not. SDarktimesX5 05:51, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Removing the red flag on stolen goods

I have found that when I was trying to duplicate stolen items using the scroll duplication glitch, the red flag would be removed although the object would not be duplicated but could be picked up and duplicated thereafter. Noidzar 03:36, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

This doesn't work for me, I tried it in Rosethorn Hall with a stolen covered pot and snowball, where did you try it and with what scrolls and items? Mikeyboy52 05:35, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Death at Sewer Exit

So my dad started a new game and made his way through the caves and the sewers. When he exited the sewers he immediatly died. can someone explain this? 24.52.33.210 18:10, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Did you start a new game right afterwords and see what happens if you do it? maybe he was running from goblins and they killed him at the last second, if he had the difficulty way up. Mikeyboy52 00:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Did Bethesda ever create a patch for the lagg glitch that occures between 200-500 hours of gameplay, or the double face glitch, or the torch fire trail glitch, or the glitch in the thieves den DLC...

Did Bethesda ever create a patch for the lagg glitch that occures between 200-500 hours of gameplay, or the double face glitch, or the torch fire trail glitch, or the glitch in the thieves den (DLC)where you jump into the shallow water next to the sunken pirate ship and you fall through the floor? (I can go on all day about glitches i've played the game for over 3000 hours and have seen most of the gameworld)

do you have any mods? because ive had none of those glitches occur. Mikeyboy52 14:16, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Permanant Bound Items on NPCs

so i found out about the permanant bound items glitch and i tried it out but when i reverse pickpocket them onto npcs it won't work as i have it euquipped and then i cant take item off...

please help, my e-mail is jacko3221@googlemail.com

Aylied Statue Glitch

if you have started the quest The Collector and have already sold him some statues, this is when this glitch happens. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but if you steal back the statues, fence them and then put them in your home, they will be half stuck in the floor/table that you put them on and will be stolen again. i fenced them again and the same thing happened but now they are gone and i can't find them. can anyone help?

Punch glitch

I got Xbox live and a lot of my glitchs stopped working but then i discovered that if i equipped arrows and then with no weapon equipped punched air opened my invetory and unequipped my arrows and dropped an item it multipled i don't remember seeing this glitch in the wiki and was wondering does anyone know more about it Ice ki 22:37, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

This is the Duplicate Items With Arrows Glitch stated on this page. --Darkheart 02:05, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Possible Audio Glitch?

Well, it isn't really a glitch as such, but, Snak gra-Bura, when the player selects "Did you eat them...?" as a dialogue option, will reply with something along the lines of: "Add some onions and some salt... Almost walked right into that one..." and so on. The "add some onions and some salt" part is subtitled as if she'd said it, when in actual fact she misses that part out when asked about it, and just starts at "Almost walked into that one", then finishes the rest of the dialogue (which I forgot). Not sure if this has been mentioned, either way, thought I should submit it. SDarktimesX5 11:07, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

If your playing on the PS3, switch to stereo, mono doesnt work all that well with ps3. as of yet i have a tv bought in china and the stereos arent hooked up, thats how I know. Mikeyboy52 13:47, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps I should have mentioned it's an Xbox 360 version. I will, however, look for such an option on the 360, too. Thanks. SDarktimesX5 20:02, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Emporers robes on ps3 and 360

Really hope this helps.

This is an amazing glitch but has some conditions firstly you must NOT have started the main quest, you must have the skull of corruption and you must have either the risen flesh greater power (shivering isles) or the staff of worms (mages guild). To start go back to the sanctum, oh an you musn't have started the dark brotherhood quest where you kill valen dreth, and find baurus and Uriles body, reanimate uriel with the staff of worms or risen flesh, and then cast the skull of corruption on him. Once his clone is there use your best weapon to kill him and SAVE just as he falls to the floor. then reload the newly saved game and keep pressing the action button as it is loading (making sure that the crosshairs were on him before save) and with a bit of luck you should enter his inventory and get his stuff. P.S. it is advisable to save just before you start this process on a different file so you can reload if anything goes wrong

By the way, if you really want to look like an emporer do the mini-quest in Bruma where you get Jorundr's gold and get Arnora's amulet which is basicly identical to the Amulet Of Kings which you can then Enchant to rename it to the Amulet of Kings. As i said it is a great glitch and well worth the trouble!

the only way this would be "worth the trouble" is if Uriel Septim's body never disappears. If you do nothing besides level up,get the staff of worms and skull of corruption, does his body stay? Mikeyboy52 13:45, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Yes his body is flagged as a quest item and will not disappear. As long as you avoid the MQ and that particular DB quest which make the location inaccessible--RhomphaiaTC 13:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

If you have shivering isles then risen flesh is much quicker to get than the staff of worms— Unsigned comment by TheElderScribe (talkcontribs) at 14:34 on 10 January 2010 (UTC)

An easier bound weapon/armor glitch

Travel to a summoning shrine (I used the bow and helmet one near Anvil) Activate the shrine Get your armor damaged by a monster (for me it was a nearby wolf) Get your weapon damaged (bows are damaged by shooting arrows, even if it misses) Repair both. They should still be equipped Press whatever button it is to drop an item in "hold mode" (Left Bumper in 360 version) Whatever you selected will be hanging in mid air. Let go and repeat for the other summoned item. Wait for the spell to run out Pick up your bound items

Requires no conjuration at all

Independent Thievery Quest

Ok so ive tryed this before on two accounts and after i finish the quest where you get the diary to Armand Christophe you have to head to Bruma so you that you can sell stolen goods to Ongar. When i sell stolen goods to him he either says that he wont take it or he does take it but it does not add to my fencing requirement to get the next quest for the thieves guild. any suggestions?

If he says he won't accept the items you're trying to sell it's probably because you have the haggle bar too high, probably because you dealed with a merchant with a poor mercantile skill, but the bar is set as a defeault to all the merchants, so you may need to offer your stolen items at a lower price. As for the fence message; it doesn't appear with every stolen item you sell, you need to fence several items in a row to get the message to pop-up. --MC S'drassa T2M 01:19, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much, i totally forgot there was a haggle option haha!

will and if, when

Will the current information on this talk page ever get archived or some information deleted, I posted that infinite claymores glitch at least 6 months ago. Mikeyboy52 14:13, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Floating Paintbrushes with PS3 GotY version

When you get the black soul gems as a quest item for (i believe) the cheyindell mages guild recommendation, falcar's desk (not the one with the gems) will have two different paintbrushes, one that floats a few inches, and one that dives underground. although normal paintbrushes dont float on GotY version, one of these does, although they cant be used to make a ladder :( also, for location of the desk, go in the door, and its on the right side. I only tested in the room, but i dont see why other places wouldnt work Mikeyboy52 03:40, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

It's covered right here on the article. --Timenn-<talk> 12:58, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it covers the fact that all paintbrushes float unlesss you have the UOP, but, on the ps3 GotY game of the year version, this is fixed, except for the two paintbrushes in Falcar's room. And, unlike the floating paintbrush trick, these brushes can not be used to make a bridge, and if you try to hold them and move them, you can, but once you drop them, they fall, go into the ground, then pop out of the ground and hover just a few inches at least one of them does (there's two different paint brushes) although the other one sinks into the ground and you can pick it up, but you cant see it. by the way, most things fixed with the UOP are fixed on the GotY version. I apologize if I seem rude, I don't mean to be (gotta headache that just wont go away) but it seems that you saw the section's name and replied without reading what I wrote, if you reply again, could you please read the section first? Mikeyboy52 13:36, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
It's actually due to the fact that I took more possible causes into account then I let on. I wasn't aware that the PS3 GotY version changes the behaviour of the paintbrushes, as this isn't covered on this article. I know there are actually multiple types of paintbrushes around, so I wasn't sure what you were referring to with "normal" paintbrushes. The problem still seems related to errors in the paintbrush model, but apparently they behave differently on the PS3 GotY version. If you check the (huge) changelog of het UOP you'll find that most bugs fixed by the UOP are not fixed by the GotY version. --Timenn-<talk> 09:36, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

probably a scheduale related thing

a few NPCs will disappear and reappear where they should be, as in I was sneaking past a blind moth monk stood still while he walked to the quarters and he disappeared and reappeared sitting on the chair making potions. this has also happened with a few other "minor" NPCs although not often Mikeyboy52 03:01, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

just before the ultimate hiest

about 75% of my stolen stuff lost the stolen flag, untill i repaired all my items. this was just before the ultimate hiest. Mikeyboy52 06:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

I just realized I neglected to mention that not of the stuff I repaired was stolen. Mikeyboy52 13:39, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind, this was caused by "temporary" stolen flags. Reparing has nothing to do with it. Go to the witch that can make the cure vampirism and drop items in her house, pick them up and they have a temporary stolen flag. Time that its "stolen" seems to vary but they lose there stolen flags when you are shopping. Mikeyboy52 10:59, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

disappearing trick

Get a bow and at least one arrow, go to a body of water such as a river briefly hold the attack button and the arrow will go into the water, come back up spinning, gradually it will get lower and lower untill it fades out. Also, enchanted arrows tend to disappear very fast, even if you hit a door with them. Could someone confirm the enchanted arrows disappearing if you hit a door? So far I've only used area effect enchanted arrows but I dont see why they would differ. Mikeyboy52 13:27, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

All enchanted arrows disappear on impact. Not sure why that is the case. Something similar happens with an enchanted bow, arrows hitting a creature that reflects arrows (e.g. Skeleton) disappear as well. This only for as long the enchanted bow has a charge left, once it runs out, the arrows will not disappear. --Timenn-<talk> 13:24, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
most of what i was talking about was normal arrows disappearing. if you stand in the water, without the air meter showing up, fire an arrow at about an 75 degree angle and stand back, the arrow spins while staying up. eventually it disappears. Mikeyboy52 13:41, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
I was replying to your question on why enchanted arrows disappear so quickly.
As for normal arrows, after a few minutes they will indeed disappear. This intentional, and done to clean the game of the various fired arrows. There is a game setting that determines the time before an arrow is removed from the game. --Timenn-<talk> 11:44, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
On the ps3 is there the same setting? Mikeyboy52 03:30, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Yep, this happens in the xbox too. Although, I'm not sure of how much time it has to pass before the game cleans them--S'drassa T2M 03:46, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
It seems it depends, if it says in flight its about 5 minuites otherwise 3. just checked it on my ps3 :D Mikeyboy52 04:20, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

The Runestone permanent bound items glitch doesn't seem to work.

Runestones won't provide armor/weapons if there is already a bound weapon or armor in the slot being replaced. Tested with a variety of bound weapon spells. You just get an error and the Runestone fails to activate. 67.193.109.219 04:03, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Are you saying permanent bound armor/weapons or summoned? Mikeyboy52 04:08, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

I find the easiest way to exploit the glitch is to cast a bound item spell, repair above 100, wait an hour or dispel, then drop the bound item. After you have done that pick up the bound item, and cast the same spell again, then wait an hour or dispel again. Check your inventory, you should notice that there is two bound items; drop the one at 100 health. They will appear to merge into one, you will now have one bound item at 100 health ready for reverse pickpocketing. SDarktimesX5 19:54, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

To answer the runestone thing, It doesn't work if you have summoned bound armor of the same type for me, but the weapons are replaced if you have a sword than use a runestone to get a bow, than you can drop the sword. From what I can tell this is what the article is talking about. Mikeyboy52 05:43, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I was merely suggestion my idea over the runestone idea. Seems to be more reliable. — Unsigned comment by SDarktimesX5 (talkcontribs) at 10:57 on 19 January 2010 (UTC)

There are a number of reasons why you would use the runestone method instead. furthermore I was trying to help 67.193.109.219 figure out why he couldn't use the runestone method. Trying to see if he had, in fact tried using two different bound weapons. I wasn't trying to say that the runestone method was better than the repair method. One reason someone would use the runestone method is because they don't have the Journeyman perk for armorer. Mikeyboy52 10:57, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Not certain. It failed on me with Bound Dagger, Bound Axe and Bound Sword on a single runestone. 67.193.109.219 18:36, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
There could be two reasons as far as I see. Are you dropping the unequipped item? or maybe your using a console, turn the console off, if you leave a console on for weeks at a time they tend to have problems with the code. like my minor lockpicking problem (lockpick shakes). I turned the ps3 off for one day and it fixed. Mikeyboy52 04:44, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

This should be noted under permanent bound items

Permanent Bound Items cannot be duplicated like other items unless first enchanted. Mikeyboy52 05:53, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Why is it not working!

how come the permanent bound armor glitch isnt working, i damage and repair it, but it doesnt let me drop it? help me please ^_^ Mor'tar'iit 05:10, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Try damaging it than repairing it, unequip it and than drop it. if that doesnt work please state what you use to play it (xbox, ps3, windows, linux or mac). Mikeyboy52 07:58, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
I use ps3, is it ok to drop it instead of unequiping it first? Mor'tar'iit 08:51, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Actually, you don't even need to unequip it first, you only need to drop it. Maybe that's because it's not working. --S'drassa T2M 16:38, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
