Oblivion talk:Fafnir

MotherEdit

Does anyone know if there is anything more to it when Fafnir tells you that you and him are related. It would be interesting if someone were to a quest that involves him and "Finding your Mother." — Unsigned comment by PassingFlame117 (talkcontribs) at 23:07 on 2 April 2007‎ (GMT)

"We have the same Mother, you and I..." most certainly refers to the Night Mother: you are members of the same 'family' because you are both in the Dark Brotherhood. — Unsigned comment by 192.31.106.35 (talk) at 20:30 on 14 May 2007 (GMT)
Thats very likely... Sounds good. But then why would you get to keep the house? there are no other rewards that big and you never hear or see him again... — Unsigned comment by PassingFlame117 (talkcontribs) at 23:44 on 25 May 2007‎ (GMT)

ClothingEdit

I wanted to know what type of outfit he was wearing, for it looked very fancy. Thanks --Playjex

Red Velvet Outfit and Green Velvet Shoes. --NepheleTalk 03:26, 6 July 2007 (EDT)

The fact that he appears to be the only NPC within Oblivion to actually wear that outfit is almost noteworthy. Almost.—Dark Spark 21:37, 18 December 2007 (EST)
Of course, if you have the battlehorn castle plugin, one of the new characters wears it as well.24.233.128.66 14:42, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Disappear?Edit

Where does he go after the quest? Is he disabled?--Barfightbob 05:32, 30 January 2008 (EST)

Yup. He gets disabled and so no longer appears anywhere. –RpehTCE 05:43, 30 January 2008 (EST)

Rainy?Edit

does it always rain when you approach him — Unsigned comment by LuciusZelgius (talkcontribs) on 15 November 2008

Yes. Whenever you get close enough the weather is changed to "Thunderstorm" (38EF1 in the console). –RpehTCE 03:29, 15 November 2008 (EST)

Where'd he go?Edit

I went to Skingrad, but my bounty was up in 200K, so the guards started attacking me. He joins in, runs away, and vanishes. Now I can't do the quest... The arrow points me to Skingrad Fighters guild, but he isn't there either... 139.168.211.239 01:33, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

If you're on the PC, you can use the console commands prid 837d2 then moveto player to move him to your position (or player.moveto 837d2 to move yourself to his location). He should eventually come back to his usual spot in any case, but it might take some time. rpeh •TCE 09:20, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Moved note.Edit

  • Fafnir was also the name of the greedy gold-guarding dragon of Nordic mythology in the Volsunga Saga.

I always thought we took off these refernces. Didn't we ? JackTurbo95 09:14, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
