Oblivion talk:Escutcheon of Chorrol
Shield PhysicsEdit
Recently I shot the shield with an arrow and it went flying through the air out of sight. Is this a noteworthy unique characteristic or does this phenomenon occur frequently with other items? I have tried shooting other shields and using different combinations of arrows, though this shield is the only one that presents this result. –Hyrenaqil 18:09, 31 May 2009 (EDT)
- This is probably due to the Reflect Damage enchantment of this shield. --SerCenKing Talk 02:58, 1 June 2009 (EDT)

- Thanks for the suggestion. I thought you might be on to something so I tried shooting some reflect damage items: the Ring of the Iron Fist, the Necklace of Swords and the Amulet of Axes. Nevertheless, the results were only the common jostle and not the magnificant catapult that can be witnessed by shooting the Escutcheon of Chorrol. Let me know what you think; is this a unique incident? Does the shield act similarly to you? –Hyrenaqil 16:49, 2 June 2009 (EDT)

- Doesn't make much sense for it to be related to Reflect Damage, since that ability doesn't even work on arrows (it reflects only melee physical damage). Also, enchantments are spells applied to the user when the item is worn, no enchantment functions on the enchanted item itself when unattended. --98.214.211.253 18:25, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
