Scale Speed in the Construction SetEdit

In the construction set, each spell effect has a "Scale Speed" option. In nearly every effect, this is set to 1.00, meaning almost all spells will travel at the exact same speed. Only two effects differ: Fire Damage and Frost Damage. Fire Damage is set to 1.25 and Frost Damage is set to 0.80. You can observe the effects of these settings in the game. Cast a spell or use a magic item that only has Fire Damage as an effect, and time how long it takes to hit the target. Do the same with Frost Damage and then any other effects. The Fire Damage spell will always hit the target before any other effects do. Frost Damage will always hit later than any other effects do. And all other effects will travel at the same speed as each other, and will always hit the target after Fire Damage spells do, and will always hit before Frost Damage spells do. If your spell or item has multiple effects, then it will travel at the same, default speed, between Fire's speed and Frost's speed.

But... I don't really know if it's worth mentioning this! I think it's interesting to know, and I suppose it could be used strategically, so you can make sure you hit your targets quicker. But this might be a piece of trivia so minor that it doesn't belong. If that's the case, feel free to remove the note. I also added a similar one on the Frost Damage page.--Croup shrunk (talk) 19:32, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
