Morrowind talk:Drain Health

Removed statementEdit

It is not possible to die from this effect alone, though if the victim's Health is sufficiently reduced, it won't take much to deliver the killing blow.

It clearly is possible to kill, as evidenced by the one and only note on the page. Also the second part appears to state the obvious/ isnt very wiki, so I just removed everything.--Catmaniac66 00:53, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

actually the article states a 400% weakness effect from a single spell. this however REQUIRES the codepatch to be installed so its normally not possible to make such a effect in the normal game. so it shouldnt be listed here or said in the article at least that this requires the codepatch features.

Combination with other damaging spellsEdit

You can actually enchant a daedric tower shield with:

- weakness to magicka 100% for 1s on touch

- Drain Life 100pt for 1s on touch

- Damage Health 100pt for 1s on touch

- Absorb Health 100pt for 1s on touch

for a total of 600damage.

Best part is: Only the damage Health can actually harm you upon reflection, since Drain Life can only deliver lethal damage and absorb health does not harm you. If you wear the saviors hide, maximum damage you can gain upon reflection is 80 damage (+80 if lethal), so 160 health is sufficient. With wraithguard, this becomes 60 damage (+60 if lethal), Also consider: all effects have to be reflected upon you, which is really rare (1/5^4=0,0016 for Daedra).
