Beached SlaughterfishEdit

I just uploaded a screenshot of a beached slaughterfish I found on Azura's Coast... I dont know if it is worth posting here on the animals page, but I thought it was funny. The thing is alive, but apparently cannot move. --Brf 09:36, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

Heh heh, just wait until you run into a Land Dreugh. Now that's funny.
As far as the image goes, I'm not sure that it's really right for the Beasts page. Two things immediately jump out: the crosshairs and the identifier box.
I encourage you to help out with collecting images; see Help:Images and Category:Morrowind Pages Needing Images to get started.– KJR1012 Talk Email Contribs 09:57, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
Yeah. I Was in a hurry before leaving for work this morning. My game is saved at that point, so I can resnap it without the identifier and crosshairs once I get home from work.--Brf 10:12, 13 May 2008 (EDT)
OK. There is a new copy without the crosshair and box. --Brf 19:02, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

Weak pointsEdit

The entries for cliff racers and dreugh mention a certain weak point where the creatures are most vulnerable. Is this from some in-game lore or from the game negine? I didn't think there was something like hit-location in Morrowind... -78.51.107.105 12:46, 23 December 2008 (EST)

There certainly isn't a weaker point in the game, but there are tricks to hitting the collision box. Using the console command TCB, you will see that racers have a large area below their mesh which are vulnerable to attacks. Knowing these "weak points" can help some people who would miss otherwise, trying to reach the meaty parts of the bird rather than attacking the tail. Lukish_ Tlk Cnt 02:04, 24 December 2008 (EST)

Cliff Racers why is there so manyEdit

I recently got morrrowind for the xbox and realized there is way to many cliff racers to be even remotely balanced why so many?— Unsigned comment by Candc4 (talkcontribs) at 07:08 on 16 September 2011

As mentioned on Morrowind:Beasts: The development team has admitted the sheer amount of cliff racers in the game was a mistake. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 09:35, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
The devs even made a joke out of it in Oblivion, with dialogue stating how Jiub was sainted for driving them from Morrowind. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 16:08, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Creature Levels?Edit

In Spellmaking dialogues, we need to specify the Level of creature that will be affected by certain spells, so I came to this page, and similar ones, hoping to find that information incorporated into the charts. I eventually had to go to another web site to find it. Downstrike (talk) 20:51, 13 February 2013 (GMT)

Guar and Wild GuarEdit

So some pages say that Guar won't attack the player, but Wild Guar will. However, it barely makes a difference, since I've been attacked by both types of Guar as I explore the wilderness. It seems only the ones near Pelagiad and the Bitter Coast are consistently friendly, but why is it that some will attack anyway, but others won't? Bauglir100 (talk) 22:16, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Cliff Racers in Seydan NeenEdit

I started recently a game, and, for upgrade the Marksman skill, I went near the lighthouse in Seydan Neen, where sometimes spawn a Mudcrab that, if you shot it, you have much time to kill it with the archery. After the tenth day, it didn't spawn, but, near that place, spawned a Diseased Cliff Racer that attacked me... Is this normal??? — Unsigned comment by 151.16.208.178 (talk) at 13:29 on 29 April 2016‎

Yeah, that is entirely normal behavior. At the location I believe you are describing, a leveled creature is set to spawn there. Once you have reached level 4, a cliff racer, diseased cliff racer, or a bull netch can be selected to spawn there instead of a mudcrab. Forfeit (talk) 22:38, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
