Morrowind Mod talk:Modders

Here's where we chat/argue about what goes on the page...

Style and ContentEdit

To add a new entry, copy the "Example" entry from the top of the list, paste at the appropriate location (modder's name in alphabetical order), and then edit the cell entries. Please follow the these rules for the column entries.

Modder
Name of the modder. Note that only modders with publicly available mods should be listed.
Status
The current status of the modder. One of:
  • Active: Currently around and responsive to email.
  • AWOL: (Absent WithOut Leave!) Missing and unresponsive to attempts to contact. List date at which it was recognized they were AWOL.
  • Hiatus: Retired, but may return. List date if known.
  • Retired: Retired. List date if known.
  • RIP: Deceased. List date if known.
Contact
Where/how to reach them. If the contact is an email address, you may want to spam protect it (e.g., say "joe blow at yahoo").
Web
Preferably this is their home page. If they don't have one, then list the download site(s) where their mods can be found.
Mods
  • If modder has a lot of mods, then this should just be a representative list -- i.e., just 2-3 lines in normal article view.
  • Only released mods should be listed.
I'd rather we use "Deceased" rather than "RIP" - it's more encyclopedic. 66.63.86.156 19:54, 26 October 2008 (EDT)
I'd prefer RIP. But... not a big deal. --Wrye 22:23, 26 October 2008 (EDT)

What is publicly avalible?Edit

What does publicly availible mean?

What are you referring to? --Wrye 22:19, 21 January 2008 (EST)
I am referring to the topic above this one that says:only modders with publicly available mods Helper Unknown 19:56, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Oh, yeah. Okay, it means that we don't want to list modders who only have WIPs. Or who have done something, but not released it for broad general use. In short, the modder has to have complete the mod and made it readily available on a public server.
But beyond that, the modder (and their mods) should be very well known. The page is here to help players who go looking for mods that were on the modders home site, but that site was then shut down or moved. (E.g. I moved from my old earthlink based home to Wrye Musings after Wrye Mash was already in heavy use. E.g. Grumpy died, but his pages and mods were made available at Emma's site.)--Wrye 20:56, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Vality7Edit

Where is him/her? I don't see anything on the web and ,sending an email via fileplanet,i received no answer. What happened to him/her? — Unsigned comment by Z4kW0lf (talkcontribs) at 17:54 on 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Where are...Edit

Canadian Ice & Hounddog? Where are their mods still available, if anywhere? Eventide Elwyn (talk) 03:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

CanadianIce and Howndog's mods can be found here; registration on the forums is required to download. (Note that the link is an http link; modern browsers may complain or refuse to connect if they're set to use https links only.) They should be on the page, but then the whole page probably needs a massive overhaul to be brought up-to-date. — Wolfborn(Howl) 03:52, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
