"but did not far inland" "all he elven races to this day" "cyrodiil history begins" These are mechanical errors, but I'm not sure if they are original or not. - Well all three are errors according to my British version ("venture far inland", "the elven" and "Cyrodiilic" respectively) but I can't speak for the US version, which Benould and RobinHood used. - They are also errors according to the TIL version, but that was probably compiled by Proweler, who may have gotten the English version since he's in the Netherlands. Or maybe they correct their texts. Normally Bethesda does their own proofreading, which was what made me think they were simple typos on our end. And 'holy crap' is not language to be watched, circa the end of Puritan rule in Massachussets.24.31.156.165 11:47, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

- Looking at the policies and guidelines sections, I don't see anything that clearly deals with colloquialisms, or how comments not directed at anyone fall under civility. Assume Good Faith is rather conspicuous in that section, however.24.31.156.165 13:21, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

- To quote from the blocking policy: "Generic insults of the web site and non-targeted profanities are also not acceptable behavior, but generally can be dealt with using the standard three-step process". To be fair, I should point out that whilst the word may be merely "vulgar" in the US, it definitely counts as "obscene" in the UK. - And also to be fair, if editors are expected to adhere to the dictates of the polite society of every extant English-speaking culture, explaining that in less maternal terms than 'watch your language' would be helpful, because playing Bingo with expletives is not all that fun. So far, I've only examined these three particular errors. Based upon my printed copy of the book (US edition), all three were transcription errors, and do not actually appear in the book's text. In other words, after this edit our version of the text now matches the printed text; the previous version did not. Hopefully that now resolves at least these specific questions. --NepheleTalk 19:31, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
