Sure you'll change your point of view when we'll see it inside of some Skyrim ingame book :) But this is just my guess yet :) And even if I find something in this text we can't just add it right into Ysgramor section, 'cause it is not fully official. If you can find anything useful, feel free to add it - just remember to add a link to the source and mark it with the {{OOG}} template. Personally I find Kirkbride's stuff utterly uninteresting and unenjoyable and the confirmation that he's back doing stuff for Skyrim is the first bad news I've heard about the game.

That text is a perfect example: long, rambling and inpenetrable. I'm sure his dedicated collection of fanboys will love it and spend ages trying to decipher the message, but I'm with xkcd's black hat guy on this one: communicating badly and then acting smug when you're misunderstood is not cleverness.

These books are supposed to be histories or sagas. The whole idea of such things is that you clearly state what's going on, so to write riddles is to miss the point entirely. Kirkbride would write a note to his milkman and make it incomprehensible. rpeh •T•C•E• 06:19, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Ysgramor Page?Edit

I think it's a foregone conclusion that TESV will have more to say about Ysgramor. A page for him right now would be nothing more than a stub, I know, but at least we could add references and it's probably better to do as much as we reasonably can right now to prepare for Skyrim's release. By the way, the info I just added (first human historian & myths revolve around Herma-Mora), came from Before the Ages of Man and Varieties of Faith. Minor Edits 20:34, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation for Ysmir, Dragon of the North?Edit

This is really annoying. You would think that as long as Bethesda is making up names as weird as "Ysmir, Dragon of the North," they wouldn't need to use the exact same name and title to refer to two completely different people. Anyways, I'm all set to create a "Ysmir" disambiguation page leading to the Tiber Septim and Wulfharth pages. That way people searching "Ysmir" will be directed to a substantial amount of info, and it will avoid the confusion this page may bring (since Wulfharth is also referred to as "Dragon of the North," not just Tiber). Ooooh boy you've opened up a can of worms there. There are many in the world who believe those two disparate entities actually are the same thing, or at least became the same thing. There may have been one "oversoul" consisting of Wulfarth, Tiber Septim and Zurin Arctus. See The Arcturian Heresy and the OOG Skeleton Man interview. I hope not; not again! I mean, when it comes to the disambiguation page, I think it's the smartest move. Someone could decide in the future to rearrange the entire collection of pages regarding the Underking's supposed personas and the disambig will be rendered unnecessary, but right now we should be trying to channel people to the info they're looking for, which in this case is going to be found on either the page for Tiber or Wulfharth.

But I was really delving into those sources while working on Wulfharth's page, and it's clear that there's a lot of room for interpretation when it comes to the Underking. I'd be the first to admit that there's a high potential I missed some key point or missed the mark, so by all means, add/revise/delete/reverse at will. Minor Edits 09:22, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

The disambig page is probably best (although it's created a LOT of links that need to be fixed - this list usually shows about 12 pages instead of 42!) (←) There are a couple of disambigs that I think could be clarified, but which I'm not entirely sure on, and I want to know what others have to say. In Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 9, I think Vivec could've been referring to either Wulfharth or Tiber; he's definitely referring to Wulfharth as "Ysmir" in Sermon 36, which makes me think Sermon 9 is also referring to Wulfharth. At the same time, judging Sermon 9 in a vaccuum, it appears ambiguous, so I'm not sure whether to change to or leave it as is just to be safe. Agnar's Journal refers to Ysmir, apparently as a deity; since Agnar was a Nord in Solstheim, I would imagine he's referring to Wulfharth. At the same time, Agnar was a Nord in "modern" times, thus his concept of Ysmir might embody the melding of the two personas. Anyways those are just a couple examples. I've linked past the disambig on several pages still on that list, so I don't know why they haven't disappeared yet. Minor Edits 04:51, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
