Zenithar's Blessed Awl is a tool for weavers of thread, reed, and wood. Believers in the god of commerce Zenithar claim that "through the awl, all designs are made possible, threads hold strong, and work progresses easily."[1]

HistoryEdit

According to the Zenithar's faithful, the awl was a gift from their patron deity Zenithar. He gave it to the artisans of House Flonius at some unspecified time before the Planemeld. As of 2E 582, the awl belonged to the Flonian family of Kvatch, but it was entrusted to the priest of Zenithar Amminus Varo so that the weavers in all the villages in Tamriel could experience the wonder of Zenithar. While the awl was given to House Flonius, it was their duty to share it with all the faithful as Zenithar's blessings were meant to be spread, not hoarded. When the awl was transported to Belkarth in northern Hammerfell, for the festival of Zenithar it was stolen from Amminus by the bandit group known as Greycloaks, led by the werewolf Stigthar. It was retrieved from the bandits by one of the festival goers and returned to the priest so the festival could continue. The restoration of the awl was crucial for the offering to Zenithar and the success of the festival.[1][2][3]
