Thonica was an Empress Regent of the Septim Empire. She was the consort of Emperor Uriel Septim V and bore him a son, Uriel Septim VI. In 3E 290, Uriel V was killed in Akavir on the battlefield of Ionith, leaving Thonica a widow and their 5-year-old son as inheritor of the throne. Following the coronation of their son Uriel VI in 3E 290, Thonica was given restricted Regency until Uriel fully assumed his position in 3E 307. She was said to enjoy her regency and hesitated to give her son reign.[1][UOL 1]
