Sleeping Tree Sap is highly valued for its ability to make people feel much healthier for a time, although side effects include temporary slowness and blurry purple vision. A spigot was installed on the Sleeping Tree in Whiterun Hold to harvest the sap, and the Khajiit trading caravans have been known to pay highly for samples.[1]
Circa 4E 201, a Nord merchant from Whiterun named Ysolda hired an Orc named Ulag to visit the camp regularly and harvest the sap.[2] Ulag was killed by the giants, but an adventurer came across his corpse in the cave and became Ysolda's supplier of the drug, who then sold it on to the Khajiit traders.[1]
