Padomaic Crest‎Edit

The Padomaic Crest (or Central Highlands) is a coastal region in east-central Morrowind, presently within the Indoril District. It borders the region of Fungal Lowlands to the west, and the region of Deshaan to the south. Together with the Fungal Lowlands, it was considered one of the two regions making up the Telvanni Peninsula. The region is home to the city of Necrom, as well as the isle of Gorne found off the coast. The Dres town of Alavelis is located along the south near a volcano, and is home to a glass mine.

The high uplands and treacherous cliff coastline gives way to craggy rocks along the Padomaic Ocean. Topal the Pilot described seeing large "bat lizards" in the area, which are believed to be the ancestors of modern Cliff Racers. Tiny tribes of ogres and trolls also patrol the highlands.

Padomaic OceanEdit

The Padomaic Ocean is a vast body of water that surrounds most of Tamriel.[nb 1] It meets the Eltheric Ocean at Northpoint and around the Blue Divide,[nb 2] which lies between Southpoint and Auridon. The Eastern Sea represents the easternmost known extent of the Padomaic, adjoining with Akavir. It is considered part of or near the southern coast of Tamriel. The ocean's waters meet at least three continents: Tamriel, in the west, Akavir, in the east, and Atmora, in the north, with several lesser islands in between.

The PaleEdit

The Pale (also called the Pale Hold or The Tale) is a large region in north-central Skyrim and one of the Old Holds, the original four territories in the province, where ancient traditions continue to thrive. The region acquired its name from both the pale white tundra and the pigmentation of the local Nords. Because of its distinct shape, some people colloquially call it "the old boot". The hold's population is centralized in its capital city of Dawnstar, a seaside town on the Frozen Coast and one of the busiest ports in the province.

Pale PassEdit

Pale Pass is a secluded pass through the Jerall Mountains on the Cyrodiil-Skyrim border. A ruined Imperial fort can be found in the pass. The flora is similar to the rest of the mountain range, and a tribe of ogres inhabit the area. A cobbled road winds its way through the pass, and many small frozen lakes culminate in the lowest parts of the valley.

The easiest way to get to and from the pass on the Cyrodiil side is to go through a natural cave system located north of Bruma, named the Serpent's Trail by the Akaviri. The pass emerges into Falkreath Hold on the Skyrim side, near the settlements of Helgen and Neugrad Watch.

PankorEdit

Pankor is a small island marking the westernmost extent of the Abecean Sea, far to the southwest of Hammerfell's coast and northwest of the Systres. A very small unnamed group of islands lies to the southwest. A bay on Pankor's east coast nearly splits the island into a northern and southern half.

Panther RiverEdit

The Panther River is a long and serpentine river located throughout the dense woodland of the southern Nibenay, in the province of Cyrodiil. Its tributaries run from Blackwood, Nibenay Basin, and Nibenay Valley, flowing past the provincial border of the province of Black Marsh. It empties into the Lower Niben, in a river delta called the Mouth of the Panther, and any sailor could tell you that it acquired its name from the sharp jagged rocks that resemble teeth. Sailors stay clear of the river mouth, especially when it is foggy.

PasswallEdit

Passwall is the main settlement within the Fringe, a region of the Shivering Isles separated by high walls from the realm proper. Mortals who find themselves in this realm of Oblivion are usually restricted to the Fringe until they have received Lord Sheogorath's "gift" of madness and can enter the realm through the Gates of Madness. Many such individuals take up residence in Passwall while they wait for Sheogorath's blessing to take hold.

For more information, see the main lore article.

Sea of PearlsEdit

The Sea of Pearls is a large body of water found west of the continent of Tamriel and its western waters, the Abecean Sea. It consists of the western-half of the Summerset Isles, the outer reaches of the High Rock sea-complex, but it mostly contains other continents beyond Tamriel's grasp, such as the sunken-islands of Yokuda, the dreaded archipelago of Thras, and the underwater kingdom of Ul'vor Kus. It is part of the greater Eltheric Ocean and it is neighbored by the Abecean Sea to the east, the Azurian Sea in the north, and both the Cape of the Blue Divide and the Southern Sea to the southeast. The Sea of Pearls acquired its name from the myriad shells that wash up on the shores of its islands; they tend to have whorls like nautilus shells, which are light-weight and durable. Sailors call the waters around Thras the Cursed Sea.

PelagiadEdit

Pelagiad was a small settlement in the Ascadian Isles region of Morrowind, on the island of Vvardenfell.

In 2E 582, a Pelagiad Garrison was maintained by the Ebonheart Pact, although no town or fort existed by that name in Vvardenfell at the time.[nb 1] The opulent Amaya Lake Lodge was built upon the shores of Lake Amaya during an earlier era, near the future site of Pelagiad. After Vvardenfell was opened for settlement in 3E 414, Fort Pelagiad was built by the Imperial Legion and House Hlaalu to guard the roads between Vivec, Balmora and Seyda Neen. Legion veterans began to build farms around the fort, and several shops were set up as the village grew. The town was officially chartered, and noted for its Western architecture resembling that of a High Rock village. By 3E 427, the settlement boasted a tavern, tradehouse, blacksmith and Imperial Cult services. Following the destruction caused during the Red Year of 4E 5, Pelagiad was likely destroyed.

Pell's GateEdit

Pell's Gate is a settlement located east of the White Rose River in the Heartlands of Cyrodiil. It can be found where the Red Ring Road joins with the Green Road, in the region known as the North Weald.

PellitineEdit

Pellitine (Ta'agra: Pa'alatiin), also known as Pelletine or Southern Elsweyr, was a kingdom in southern Tamriel, which merged with the rival kingdom of Anequina in 2E 309 to form the Elsweyr Confederacy, uniting the region for the first time. Pellitine occupied the southern half of Elsweyr, a region of dense jungles, rainforests, river basins, tropical grasslands, and pristine white beaches. </noinclude>

PhrygiasEdit

Phrygias was a barony on the western coast of High Rock, in the Iliac Bay region. It existed in the late First Era, as well as in the late Third Era. It was surrounded by the Wrothgarian Mountains to the east, Dwynnen and Urvaius to the south, and Ykalon to the west.

The Garlythi clan was the predominant vampire bloodline, and the regional deity was Stendarr. The provincial seat was the city of Phrygias. Phrygias was one of the primary members of a coalition that fought and defeated the forces of the Camoran Usurper in the massive Battle of Firewaves.

Pinepeak CavernEdit

Pinepeak Cavern is a cave next to the path up the Throat of the World, in the province of Skyrim. It is a natural cavern with a deep and expansive sub-structure that refugees have often used as a sanctuary in centuries of tumultuous times. While some of the local Nords claim that it is safe, others refuse to enter the cave because of the fear that it may cave in on them. Unbeknownst to them, Pinepeak Cavern has a tomb deep in the cave system built for one of the Five Hundred Companions, Hakra, who died in battle against the half-giant chieftain, Sinmur.

Pinnacle RockEdit

Pinnacle Rock is the home of the Mazken in the Shivering Isles, located in Dementia at the southern tip of the Madgod's Boot. This is the Mazken's most sacred place, as it contains the Wellspring of the Mazken. The souls of the fallen are called from the Waters of Oblivion to the Font of Rebirth by use of ceremonial chimes. The stronghold was a gift from Lord Sheogorath, and usually no one—not even Sheogorath himself—are permitted inside its sacred halls.

The PitsEdit

The Pits is a realm of Oblivion, created and ruled over by Peryite, the Daedric Prince of Pestilence. Here, Peryite guards the lowest orders of Oblivion.

It is unknown what the realm looks like overall. What little that has been seen of the realm resembles the Deadlands, with lava seas, volcanic islands and ruined structures. The realm is usually completely inaccessible to mortals, but there have been several exceptions.

Plaza Brindisi DoromEdit

The Plaza Brindisi Dorom occupies the southernmost quadrant of Mournhold. It is a public garden dominated by a great statue at its center.

The plaza is named after Indoril Brindisi Dorom, the duke of Mournhold who was killed when Mehrunes Dagon destroyed the city in 1E 2920.

The southwest gate leads to Godsreach, the southeast gate to the Great Bazaar, and the Gates of Symmachus to the outside world.

Lake PoppadEdit

Lake Poppad is a small, isolated lake in the forested wilderness of the Nibenay Basin region of Cyrodiil. It is north of the Corbolo River's source, southwest of Cheydinhal, and far to the east of the Imperial City and the Red Ring Road. A shrine to Vaermina is on its northeastern shore. Nirnroot has been known to grow on its banks. It originally fed a tributary of the Reed River circa 2E 582, although this stream had seemingly dried up by 3E 433.

Port HundingEdit

Port Hunding, also called Stros M'Kai, is a city on the island of Stros M'Kai. Situated north of Hunding Bay, the city takes up a large portion of the island's area.

Port TelvannisEdit

Port Telvannis (also spelled Port Telvanis or Port Telvanni) is a city located on an archipelago in the Padomaic Ocean, northeast of Morrowind. It is described as an island palace under the control of Great House Telvanni, and was their capital during the Third Era. The Parliament of Bugs, the High Telvanni wizards who preside over the entire house, are headquartered here.

Portdun CreekEdit

Portdun Creek (formerly known as Portdun Watch) is a town found in Stormhaven, a region of the province of High Rock. It was originally an outwork built for Firebrand Keep, the enclave of the Knights of the Flame. It protected the road between the city of Wayrest and the castle-town of Alcaire Castle, but it was later abandoned. However, it eventually became a prominent settlement.

PothagoEdit

Pothago is a region on the western coast of Hammerfell, in the Iliac Bay region. When it was a duchy it was surrounded by Myrkwasa to the east and Kairou to the south. Pothago's main city is the city of Pothago. The Selenu clan is the predominant vampire bloodline in the region.

On the 18th of Sun's Dusk, the people of Pothago celebrate Hel Anseilak, with it being the holiest day for them. The ancient way of the sword-singers and their rich heritage is remembered and honored on this day.

After the Warp in the West, Pothago came under the dominion of Sentinel.

Pothole CavernsEdit

Pothole Caverns is a natural cave network found deep in the Great Forest of Cyrodiil, about halfway along the Green Road between Bravil and the Imperial City.

Like all natural caves, these tunnels once served as the capillaries of Nirn, pulsing with the divine essence of the Aedra. Some say that the Ayleids once used the place as a mausoleum, and the caverns have been associated with the undead ever since. The limestone architecture present around the cave's exterior during the mid-Second Era proves that the Ayleids had some presence here, although by the late Third Era no sign of these structures remained.

During the Planemeld of 2E 582, Pothole Caverns were occupied by a Circle of the Shadowed Path, a cult of necromancers dedicated to Molag Bal. This Circle was led by Diabolist Vethisa and had been sent to the cave in search of an ancient relic buried beneath the ground, which the cult planned to use to conquer the Imperial City and all of Cyrodiil in the name of Molag Bal. Despite filling the excavated caves with cultists and undead, Vethisa was ultimately killed by passing Alliance War soldiers.

By the end of the Third Era circa 3E 433, the cave was once again occupied by necromancers, this time the Order of the Black Worm. The cultists were well established, having set up traps throughout the tunnels as well as prison cells for their captives and a necromantic hall of worship in the main chamber.

PridehomeEdit

Pridehome is a monastery found deep in the jungle reaches of the Tenmar Forest, in the province of Elsweyr. It is a place of meditation for those that worship the Dragon-King of Cats, Alkosh and prepare for the end times when dragons return after years of extinction. It is the home of the Pride of Alkosh, a group of warrior-monks that consist of the Forgotten Manes, who dedicate themselves to maintaining peace throughout the province until they pass on.

Privateer's HoldEdit

Privateer's Hold is a dungeon located near the northern border of Daggerfall, a kingdom in the province of High Rock. Specifically, it is north of the town, Gothway Garden, and just south of the river that splits the kingdom from its neighbor, Tulune. Privateer's Hold is a large dungeon under the earth and its signature feature is the large room and the throne high above it.

PyandoneaEdit

Pyandonea, meaning "the Veil of Mist" or "the Mist-Veiled Isles", is an archipelago located to the far south of Tamriel. It is home to the elusive Maormer, a race of Mer exiled there by the ancient Aldmer from Aldmeris. For all of recorded history, King Orgnum has ruled the land. The archipelago is located within the Southern Sea.

Some sources refer to Pyandonea as a continent or as part of a continental system. However, other lists of the known continents of Nirn exclude Pyandonea. Others refer to it as a single island.
