The cartoon Adventure Time features a reference to The Lusty Argonian Maid, in the Season 9 Episode 10 episode titled 'Abstract'. At about the 4:50 mark, the protagonist of the show, Finn, reaches for his crayons and the following can be seen of the book's title.

Adventures of SupermanEdit

In My Adventures with Superman episode 7 titled Kiss Kiss Fall in Portal, an arsenal of weapons from different franchises can be seen, such as Wabbajack from The Elder Scrolls, the Dragon Slayer from Berserk, the Silence Glaive from Sailor Moon, and many more.

Inside JobEdit

In My Big Flat Earth Wedding, when dealing with severe drug withdrawals, Dr. Andre Lee mentions having an RPG tournament in high school that was "high-stakes Elder Scrolls", to which Myc responds its the same bad story he tells over and over when not drunk.

No Game No LifeEdit

  • In the anime No Game No Life, there is a reference to the Arrow in the Knee trope. When Sora, one of the main protagonists, states after the credits of Episode 6 titled 'Interesting', "I used to be a gamer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee."

Sanctuary (TV series)Edit

  • The TV show Sanctuary featured Daedric script used as runes for stone tablets, specifically at about the 8:15 minute mark of Season 3 of Episode 16 titled Awakening.

ToonamiEdit

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on the original Xbox was reviewed by the characters S.A.R.A. and T.O.M. on Cartoon Network's then weekday afternoon block called Toonami. They praise the game for its customization but panned the combat. Overall, they rated the game an 8 out of 10.

Transformers: Rescue BotsEdit

In S2 E5 A Virtual Disaster, Blades says "I used to like video games. Then I took an arrow to the knee.", quoting the line from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)Edit

  • The American featherweight fighter, Josh Emmett goes by the nickname, the Fighting Falmer, a clear reference to the race in the Elder Scrolls universe. On his official website, he has an entire page under his bio about the Fighting Falmer, with key art of the Elder Scrolls Online.[1][2]

What We Do In The ShadowsEdit

In season 4 episode 3 The Grand Opening, a large group of vampires are waiting in line for the grand opening of Nadja's vampire nightclub to see rapper Richie Suck, one of which Nadja addresses as "Grundwulf, you old fornicator, don't you look snazzy?", named after the vampire Grundwulf from The Elder Scrolls Online: Scalebreaker.

Bethesda GamesEdit

  • A Blood-Stained Note can be found in a Hollow Treestump in the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind. It features two individuals dubbed S and E, and since then, a trope of the two character leaving behind valuable items in hollowed out objects has also reached the Fallout series.

Borderlands 2Edit

  • In Sanctuary, NPCs can occasionally say "I used to be a Vault Hunter like you, until I took a bullet to the knee." This is a reference to the Bethesda game Skyrim, where guards often say "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.”
  • The NPC Face McShooty also makes a reference to the "Arrow in the Knee" meme, when listing the places he doesn't want to be shot; "Not the KNEE, not the ARM, not the SPINE - FACE!"
  • Roland also references the line when he first meets the Vault Hunters, saying "I used to be a Vault Hunter like you, until I founded the Crimson Raiders."
  • During combat, bandits will occasionally shout "Never should have come here!" in reference to a line a lot of Skyrim NPCs commonly say during battle.
  • In Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep there is a challenge for killing dragons called "Fus Roh Die".

Borderlands 3Edit

  • In Borderlands 3, New-U Stations will state "Hey. you. You're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right?" occasionally when you respawn.

Castle CatsEdit

  • In the mobile game Castle Cats, one of the cats you can collect is named Dovah. He wears armor that resembles that of Whiterun Guards, as well as the iconic Dragonborn iron helmet, and has an arrow in his knee. His journal page initially says "Dovah loves being an adventurer - but all good things must come to an end." Later, as a reference to the (incorrect) theory that "arrow in the knee" actually means getting married, it says, "Dovah used to be a happy adventurer, but then he got married." One of his dialogue lines is "Stop right there, criminal!", which is likely a reference to the "Stop right there, criminal scum!" line from Oblivion.

Cookie ClickerEdit

  • In Cookie Clicker, there is an achievement for owning 777 combined grandmas and cursors titled "The elder scrolls" with the flavor text "Let me guess. Someone stole your cookie.", referencing the sweet roll running gag.

DOOMEdit

  • In DOOM (2016) (another game developed by a Zenimax subsidiary), during the Kadingir Sanctum mission, you can find a skeleton wearing the iconic Dragonborn iron helmet from Skyrim, with an arrow in its knee.

For HonorEdit

  • In the game's story, during chapter 3.5, the mission called Honor will see that your partner gets shot in the knee by an arrow after being spotted by an enemy. Afterwards your partner will state "My knee! I hope I can keep adventuring".

Goat SimulatorEdit

  • In the original Goat Simulator, one of the mutator powers available is the "Goatborn", which will give Pilgor's bleats an Unrelenting Force effect.
  • In Goat Simulator 3, the intro sequence parodies Skyrim's intro by keeping the player bound on a cart with three other goats while the farmer driving explains the game. Skyrim is referred to by name at the end of the sequence, when the Farmer tells Pilgor to "get off of [his] Skyrim cart".
    • Additionally there is a cosmetic "Dovahkiid Helmet", ressembling Skyrim's iron helmet.

RunescapeEdit

  • In Runescape 3, the quest called Desperate Times features a book titled "The Lusty Asgarnian Maid". This is a reference to The Lusty Argonian Maid.

The Evil Within 2Edit

  • When exploring Sebastian's house during Chapter 12, go upstairs and find the door to his office to the left of the stairs. The Mysterious Symbol is a mounted Ouroborous from The Elder Scrolls Online sitting on his desk.
 
Fantasy Hero Set

Fallout 4Edit

  • In Fallout 4, the Experimental Plant is a reference to Nirnroot, featured heavily in The Elder Scrolls Series.
  • The Fallout 4 Creation Club Content features a Fantasy Hero Set which includes a Skyrim Iron helm and steel sword. The Creation also references Battlemages, levitation, and Golems.
  • One of the Taboo Tattoos skillbooks located in Irish Pride Industries Shipyard features a draugr wearing the iconic Skyrim Iron helm.
  • The weapon Grognak's Axe is the weapon used by Grognak the Barbarian, a fictional comic book character from the Fallout universe. The Axe is modeled off the weapon depicted in the Barbarian class image from Oblivion. The Iron Battle Axe from Oblivion is almost identical in appearance to both depictions, but both sides of the axe head are the same instead of being different sizes.

Fallout 76Edit

  • On the road between Vault 96 and the Federal Disposal Field, one can find a cart driven by a tractor, inside are prisoners. This is a reference to the cart ride at the beginning of Skyrim, which spawned the popular meme with the phrase "Hey, you. You're finally awake." Additionally, if a player gets drunk on Nukashine, they wake up in the same cart facing in the same direction they would have in Skyrim.

FortniteEdit

  • In Chapter 2: Season 2 - Top Secret, shaking down 10 different players would grant the achievement Pickpocket | 100, a reference to the Pickpocket skill tree.

MinecraftEdit

  • Minecraft: Skyrim Edition is an official Mash-Up pack featuring Skyrim-inspired textures, as well as Skyrim's soundtrack. It is available in multiple platforms associated with Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
  • The achievement "Sneak 100" can be earned by sneaking next to a Sculk Sensor or Warden without triggering it, which is named after a popular meme about mastering stealth by reaching the max level of 100.

PalworldEdit

  • Near the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach fast travel point, you can encounter a "Mercenary With a Wounded Knee" sitting by a campfire. She references the "arrow in the knee" line from Skyrim: "I used to be a tough trainer like you... Then I took an attack to the knee from that giant Pal."

The Adoring Fan
  • The Adoring Fan companion is a reference to the Adoring Fan from Oblivion, who has become a running gag in The Elder Scrolls series. He is voiced by Craig Sechler, who also voiced the original character.
  • The level 4 badge for the Crippling ability shows an arrow shattering the bones in a knee
  • The D-Block Section 01 Prisoner List from the Crimson Fleet mission mentions "Mallory, Delvin"
  • A Scroll Holder in the museum on Titan is described as "Scroll case of unknown date and origin. Believed to have once been a sacred relic, this old scroll case likely predates any other synthetic item in the museum. The scroll itself has been lost to time." which appears to be a nod at the Elder Scrolls artifacts
  • It is possible to find a planet covered in plants identical to nirnroot.

StrayEdit

  • Two characters reference lines from Skyrim. In Antvillage, Jenkins says an oft-quoted line from Skyrim merchants: "Some may call this junk. Me, I call them treasures." In Midtown, Sojiro says, "I used to own a bar. It was the coziest place around here. Until I took a screwdriver in the knee, and it's closed now."

Super Smash Bros. UltimateEdit

  • The "Dragonborn Outfit" is a DLC costume available for Mii Swordfighters that will give them Scaled Armor and a Steel Sword. The "Dragonborn Helm" that comes with it is an Iron Helmet that can be worn by any Mii Fighter type.

Team Fortress 2Edit

  • Those who pre-ordered Skyrim received a Dragonborn Helmet hat in TF2, which is based on the Iron Helmet from Skyrim, to commemorate the start of QuakeCon 2011. The hat is still available for purchase post-Skyrim's release.[3]

TerrariaEdit

  • The Zoologist NPC refers to the Skyrim arrow in the knee meme with her quote "I collected critters like you once, then I took a cursed fox bite to the knee".

Warcraft III: ReforgedEdit

  • There is a tombstone asset in Warcraft III: Reforged, with what appears to be "FUCK OU" written on it in the Daedric script. They were most likely spelling out "FUCK YOU", but chose to follow the rule of the Daedric Alphabet to omit any "X" or "Y".

Wolfenstein: The Old BloodEdit

  • In the first level of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, you can encounter the Iron Helmet from Skyrim on an office desk. Picking up the helmet will give you 11 armor, a reference to Skyrim's release date.

World of WarcraftEdit

The Witcher 3Edit

  • In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Gwent card Black Infantry Archer has the text "I aim for the knee. Always." This is a reference to the Skyrim Arrow in the Knee meme.
