2003Edit

Do Argonians lay eggs? (2003-11-06)Edit

Argonians are ovoviviparous. [Wow. I was SURE I'd never have to use that word again.] They don't lay eggs like reptiles. Note that Lady Argonians have big bumps on their chests.

2011Edit

Are the novels canon? (2011-01-03)Edit

Yes, we consider the Elder Scrolls novels canon to TES lore.

Does Bethesda consider Obscure Texts and developer comments as "actual lore" or "canon"? (2011-11-24)Edit

It depends.

2016Edit

The card art for General Tullius is nearly identical to a still frame from the film 1612. (2016-05-26)Edit

General Tullius

Thanks for pointing this out. gonna have someone look into this

Where is M'aiq? Having a card of him in Legends would be great. (2016-08-02)Edit

When I asked him he said he was in the game. I guess he was lying.

If i can ask, why is General Tullius' voice in legends weird? Could you not use Michael Hogan's voice from Skyrim? I made a few threads about it but not one peep

not sure what you mean, but no, you can't use a VO recording from one game in another game. you basically have to hire that actor again for the game you want to use him in

2018Edit

Aything you can tell me about this logo? It shipped on the Morrowind CD but was not (as far as I know) created around the time of Redguard. (2018-01-05)Edit

I don't know what that is and I don't recall it being on any game disc

@LadyNerevar: "Huh! The mystery deepens! Thanks for the quick answer.
That logo is embedded in the Daedric font found on the MW CD and in the Oblivion fansite kit. It's mapped to the number 0, with logos of other TES games on 1-5."

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@LadyNerevar: "This is such a strange, fun way to start TES fandom in 2018.
Happy friday!"

Happy Friday!

Who won Skyrim's Civil War? Empire or Stormcloaks? (2018-02-09)Edit

As with other Elder Scrolls games(like the multiple endings to Daggerfall) the studio doesn't really force one outcome as canon. That'd sort of diminish each player's choice.

Is TESVI going to take place in Hammerfell or High Rock or both like Daggerfall did, based off of the TESVI trailer referencing Shadowkey? (2018-08-26)Edit

I think it's awesome to think you think the teaser for TES6 would be a reference to a mobile phone game none of us really remember existed in the first place.

In response to multiple questions about canon/lore (2018-10-09)Edit

Sorry, I'm not the lore guy. I don't answer questions about lore or canon.

2020Edit

When can we expect information on TESVI? (2020-05-10)Edit

It's after Starfield, which you pretty much know nothing about. So if you're coming at me for details now and not years from now, I'm failing to properly manage your expectations.
