Find the hidden treasure in The Hideaway
I was tipped off about treasures stashed in The Hideaway. I don't have much time to secure the goods before they're moved, so I should act quickly on this lead.

Quick WalkthroughEdit

  1. Talk to Fa'ren-dar and travel to the Hideaway.
  2. Find the Weeping Stone and three Hidden Caches.
  3. (Optional) Complete the heist within 8 minutes.
  4. Return to Fa'ren-dar at the entrance.
  5. Return to the Thieves Den and talk to Fa'ren-dar.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Read the Heist Board next to Fa'ren-dar in the Thieves Den. A new message announces,

"Sniffed out another bunch of squatters making use of The Hideaway. Looks like they're holding product too. We should move on it immediately, but try to keep a low profile and we might leech off them for a while before they catch wise."

Speak to Fa'ren-dar to ask him more about The Hideaway:

The Hideaway isn't real descriptive. What can you tell me about it?
"I would think its purpose is pretty clear, but it's the finer details that are of interest, eh? A smugglers' cove of some convenience, a little too well known for anyone to stick around for long. Expect the current tenants to be quite vigilant."
I'll exercise extra caution. Take me to the heist.

When you are at the location, enter the tunnel to start the timer and receive the heist objectives. You need to collect three hidden caches and a treasure, the Weeping Stone, in any order. Once you have done it, head back to the entrance where you started. A majority of these hidden cache locations are on platforms or hidden in corridors, so make sure your footwork is steady or else you may fall, wasting precious time.

The base map, showcasing possible cache (small marker) and treasure (large marker) locations

Here are the possible locations of the hidden caches:

Stone Room (Northwest): This is one possible location of the Treasure: it is located at a small station in the cave-like, northwest region. It has a shortcut to the water-logged room via a pipe that spills with water— just head south, and stealth by the two guards on standby.
Stone Room (North Platform): This cache is a relatively simple ascent to a platform via ramps.
Hooked Room (Southeast): This is another possible location of the Treasure: it is located in a small alcove in the southern part of the room. Sentries do get close to having their vision radius touch the box, but tucking yourself in the corner as you pick it will allow you to nab the treasure undetected.
Square Room (Platform): In order to access this cache, you have to walk across the bridge that is above it, and drop down. You will need a slight running start, as you need to jump in order to reach it.
Rectangular Room (Platform): This cache is relatively straightforward to grab, but has a moderate chance of falling due to uneven planes. Climb up the stairs on the northeast and ascend up the wooden platforms, then climb up onto the stack of boxes nearby. Climb the next wooden platform, then carefully climb on the uneven beams to the platform the cache is sitting on.
Northwest (Platform): This cache requires you to climb around a cliff-face, where a man-made waterfall pours out. It is very easy to fall while scaling this area, as the walking surface is narrow.

The cavern map, showcasing possible cache locations

There are also a variety of caches located in the caves, located underneath the main floor:

Cave (Western): This cache requires you to drop down onto it, similar to the cache in the square room. There is a larger room for error, though, as the stone floor is wide and long.
Cave Entrance (West): This cache is hard to grab without detection, as an enemy archer uses the area close-by for target practice— you have to pick it from its furthest side. If you're having difficulties grabbing it, certain champion skills, classes, and races grant bonuses for minimum stealth detection: the lower your stealth detection, the greater the possibility that you can grab this undetected.
Cave (Southern): This cache is fairly straightforward, as the cache is at the very bottom of the cave, in the dirt.

Once you have the goods, keep an eye out for the elite that starts their patrol, and head back to the entrance where you started— being a hair's width near the entryway will stop the counter, allowing you to make it without entering the chamber first. When you are back at Fa'ren-dar, speak to him to travel back to Thieves Den.

Back in the Den, talk to Fa'ren-dar once more to collect your reward.

NotesEdit

  • Turn on quest objective pointers to see where the quest objects are located.
  • Use potions of Invisibility with Vanish and Speed effect to sneak faster and avoid detection.
  • If you see a collectible object very close to the entrance/in an easily accessible location, leave it until last.
  • Dying does not directly impact the timer, but is ill-advised due to a potential time waste due to backtracking.
  • Being detected by the mobs reduces the timer greatly (by one minute), risking a failure of the bonus objective.
    • Killing mobs with the Blade of Woe will reduce the timer even when no other mobs are there to witness it, as you're (very) briefly detected upon doing so.
    • There is a short window between detection where you will not get the "Timer Reduced" prompt upon being seen: this implies that you can get detected without shortening the timer if you manage to stealth without being marked with a Magelight.
  • As soon as you complete all objectives, an elite enemy NPC will appear patrolling near the entrance area, making your escape attempt a bit more difficult. Thus, you will need to plan additional time when heading back to Fa'ren-dar.
  • If you are running out of time or made a mistake, you may choose to Abandon the quest and re-attempt it without penalty. Abandoning the quest will instantly transport you back into the Thieves Den. This allows you to experiment and practice the same quest as many times as you wish.
    • Since Heists can only be done once a day, it is beneficial to complete it within the time limit.

BugsEdit

  • If you abandon a heist and reaccept it, the elite may spawn earlier than intended. ?
    • Relogging your character may fix it, so long as you do so after abandoning the quest.
      • Waiting a few minutes before entering The Hideaway may also have them de-spawn.
    • This bug is consistent between all Heists.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
