GeodeEdit

There is also an emerald geode after the 3rd letter, its a locked room that also contains 3 spiders. (For me it was 2 albino and 1 poison)Chronic (talk) 04:29, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

Done. I added it. Jeancey (talk) 04:31, 14 December 2012 (GMT)

Reset Barrow?Edit

Is it possible to reset this place to how it was before the mission starts? I have gotten stuck and the codes to advance are recognized but not implemented. -there is no invalid code notification but the quest doesn't advance.173.51.248.19 07:11, 20 February 2013 (GMT)

Unique Skull?Edit

In the First Chamber is a unique skull on a pedestal. Is this a reference to the Kolbjorn Barrow quest in Bloodmoon? — Unsigned comment by 90.194.93.81 (talk) at 19:41 on 1 June 2013 (GMT)

Kolbjorn Barrow ProblemEdit

At the top of the stairs there is an unlit brazier with an empty grand and filled lesser soul gem inside. Following the ledge to the northwest to find a burial urn. There is a gated doorway to the southwest with the chain to raise the gate on the left. The corridor turns to the northwest and climbs a flight of stairs, as soon as you enter this corridor you hear swinging blades trap moving ahead. At the top of the stairs the corridor turns back to the southwest and you see the three swinging blades in front of you in a short corridor ending in a gate. There is also a large coin purse on the floor on the right. There is room to stop between each of the blades and space at the far end to stop and find the mechanism to open the gate. The chain is above the gate hanging from the ceiling, the gate opens and a wooden bridge drops into place giving access back to the second large room that has been dug out since your previous visit.

Crossing the bridge to the stone pillar you can jump across to the wooden ramps leading up and out or down to the ash level. Going down you will find another dead miner under the bridge that you've just crossed and a pickaxe. Following the ramp up you find yet another dead miner at the bottom of the second to last ramp.

I get to the gate just past the swinging blades and pull the chain hanging down. But beyond this is what appears to be a cave in. And an oddity in graphic tears which I have not experienced before. I saved and jumped down as there was no other way to enter this chamber. I saw the WORD alter and ran up to it and fell through a TEAR in the floor graphics and ended up in a room with a black book. What is going on? I have no other problems graphics wise. Is this the game or perhaps a graphics card issue?

Standing / Stood?Edit

Is there a reason 'standing' should be used instead of 'stood'? I'm referring to a recent update that I seen twice on different pages recently. Biffa (talk) 12:42, 30 April 2014 (GMT)

If we are going with standard (American) English, "stood", while an action verb, is past-tense and intransitive - it does not have a direct object receiving the action. But again, that's here. Is the use of "stood" as a transitive verb common across the pond?--Beezer1029 (talk) 15:55, 30 April 2014 (GMT)
Big words, I think the answer is yes, we could say either "he is stood behind the bar" or "he is standing behind the bar" meaning the same thing, and for past tense we could say "he was stood behind the bar" or "he was standing behind the bar". At leat I understand the reason to use standing instead of stood in future though. Thank you for the explanation. Biffa (talk) 16:54, 30 April 2014 (GMT)
That is so cool- thanks for sharing. If i said "he was stood behind the bar" here they would think i was drunk! :-)--Beezer1029 (talk) 19:06, 30 April 2014 (GMT)
In (Canadian) English, something like "There is a leveled draugr stood behind a stone table" just sounds wrong. Apart from "stood" having the past tense meaning and conflicting with "is" being in the present, it also implies that someone else put him there, like "that NPC was stood there by the game designer". "Standing" sounds much more natural and consistent. Scare! (talk) 04:21, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

What happened!? Yesterday I could open the different phases of the walkthrough, today I can't. They're listed, but have no option to show/hide. --— Unsigned comment by Kellynne (talkcontribs) at 13:55 on 15 May 2014

Takes them a second to load for me. Try waiting a little and see if they appear. --AN|L (talk) 14:14, 15 May 2014 (GMT)
Although they've always appeared right away, I tried your suggestion. I even refreshed after a couple of minutes. Still nothing. Thanks for the suggestion though. Kellynne (talk) 15:07, 15 May 2014 (GMT)
Great! someone has fixed the issue! Kellynne (talk) 18:35, 16 May 2014 (GMT)

Journals disappear?Edit

The journals didn't disappear for me as the page states, they were all there next to each other at the last visit. --95.222.29.172 01:47, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

The journals only disappear AFTER you have cleared the barrow for the fourth and final time, and ONLY if you allow Ralis to live. So the journals will be there when you first reach the camp after receiving the fourth letter, and they should still be there if you kill Ralis as punishment. Valeria (talk) 20:26, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Gate Code in 2nd VisitEdit

On your second visit inside the barrow, after you have made your way through most of the cleared areas, you must pull the correct handles in order to raise the gates allowing you to reach the chamber with the final battle and the body of Mireli, the second missing miner. My question is whether there is any clue for which are the correct handles, or is this a case of a lock combination that has to be either looked up or discovered by blind, brute force testing? Valeria (talk) 20:31, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

The camp did not instantly disappear if you leave Ralis alive?Edit

I find the camp didn't disappear when instantly read Black Book: Filament and Filigree to exit the Apocrypha and return to Solstheim, even leave Ralis alive? After several hours (at least 3 fast traveling between Kolbjorn Barrow and Raven Rock), all camps are cleared — Unsigned comment by 38.181.79.253 (talk) at 09:58 on 19 January 2024
